To go higher will likely require more Vcore & possibly more to the RAM &

It depends on prices and how much I would be able to

you can have the cheapest upgrade path and get the cpu alone.
you can get the absolute most out of the 965 and upgrade to ddr3 (cpu, ram, mobo)
or you can go for what would obviously be the fastest available right now with i7, which would still be cpu, board and ram...but most likely more money depending on parts.
i just went from the
955 to the 965, which economically...

The CPU is normally 180. Mobo #100, Ram 80 --> so it is normally $360. The 955BE is a great processor.
