RIP Abe! He was a very good owner in terms of the community and the building of not one, but 2 stadiums. I can't say that he was a very good owner in terms of understanding how to build a team. He remained too loyal to Unseld for too long. He gave up on the Capitals in the 1990's. He changed the name not from pressure from the community, but to line his own pockets for a new merchandise opportunity. He also had hand picked the name...

Love the Wizards with all my heart but lets be honest....this current group aint that good. They are oft injured, video game basketball playing, lack of defensive effort overpaid role players thrown together and expected to produce year after year......the coach changes and the results are the same. L's and Injuries pile up. I will be SHOCKED if this team wins more than 35 games. My prediction: 33 - 49 I hope im wrong but we blow. U know...
