I agree with all of those except the following: DFA Andy Marte and call up Wes Hodges -Marte is actually playing pretty well in the chance he's been given.  I'd like to keep playing him there and not bring up Hodges prematurely.  If Marte can play like he's been playing, I'd be fine with him manning 3B with Peralta at SS and Cabrera at 2B as opposed to Barfield being inserted.  Marte is ...

Shapiro dealt CC and Blake, but IMO made a mistake not dealing Betancourt.  Some team may have, with the need for relievers among contenders, given up something for him not realizing what we all know:  the guy is done, cooked, flamed, spent. I must ask, is this season the result of folks just thinking we had more talent than we did, or is it just bad coaching (and perhaps bad front office work by failing to fill needs)?  Seriously, it's a question we must ask.  Did this team play above their talent level last year, or has it been failed by poor management (by Wedge and Shapiro)?  I'm interested in your thoughts.  Peace.

If I were Wedge I would go pull Betancourt right now.  How freakin stupid can you be?  It's not like he wasn't warned with the first two massive shots to left.  Have you ever heard of a pitch outside and in the dirt?
