This showing today must make Alvarez eat crow and admit he made a bad choice. This is pathetic to say the least. Forget a bowl game this year. How could they honestly accept one if offered?  I've never quite understood this brand of logic? Don't take a bowl game if offered? Bielema needs to go before he ruins everything that Alvarez built.  He coaches the special teams, and they're terrible. He used to be a defensive coordinator, and the defense is always out of position & haven't been taught how to tackle.  They're always scrambling to get the correct personnel in the game.  They continue to get penalty after penalty. *sigh* We are not in affiliation w/ the Sun Bowl any more, just like we aren't with the Music City Bowl. But I think either Champs Sports, Alamo, or Insight.

Midnight thanks for a thoughtful scenario.  I hope they make the Champ Sports as I live in SW Florida and can drive to Orlando in 2 hours. Too bad that they aren't able to play in the Sun or another Western bowl.  It's just fun to see some of the different matchups take form that way. A bowl win would go a long way toward healing the pain of this season.

Basketball season is about to start.  Bo Ryan is the anti-Bielema type of coach.  Disiplined/hard-nosed/composure/fundamentally sound is a Bo Ryan coached team.  You can put in the exact opposite wording for a Bielema coached team..... Alvarez needs to find the next "Alvarez" to coach the Badgers football program.

Why is this guy in Bielema's doghouse?  He ran for circa 250 yards against Minnesota last year and didn't even see the field this year, despite Clay and Hill struggling at times.  Is this just more evidence of Bielema's pure stupidity?

I think we saved ourselves from a date in Detroit by salvaging our season and beating Minnesota, but what's the best bowl we can hope for assuming we beat Cal-Poly next week?
