i mentioned denorfia since he's ready to step in can play all 3 of positions. not sure if he was around with reds when bowden was still there looking at nats roster they have a pretty shallow bullpen and A's have a ton of relievers to spare

No deal! Zimmerman is the Nationals. He is our Cal Ripken, Derek Jeter, Dan Marino. He is ready for a breakout year in 2009. I think that the Rays have proven that a young, talented, energetic team can win against anyone. Its time for the Nats to put together a team like the 2008 TB Rays.

Me and my Family had a vacation. we came from Ohio to NY, to Atlantic City, to DC, to Philly. Anyhow, I just wanted to say how great of a ballpark you guys have. We saw 2 games. 1 vs the Angels but left early because Wife was lost.Called and started begging us to leave. So few days later we went to see a Nats .vs. Orioles Game. I love the stadium, the people, And i've always been a fan of the Nats. I'm Dimitri Youngs #1 Fan. Me and...

We dont want Prince guys. He's a Dimitri Young waiting to happen. Three guys we can sign that would make the biggest difference would be Orlando Hudson, Ben Sheets, and Adam Dunn. Hudson gives a real leadoff hitter with some power and speed, Dunn gives us a first baseman and a cleanup hitter, and Sheets is an anchor to the rotation (god willing he would stay healthy). The lineup would be something like 1. Hudson 2. Guzman 3. Zimmerman 4....

looks like we might take a look at him.. We are obviously trying to add more leftys to the rotation. Mets are also interested so we should propbally act quick if we really want him. I think bringing in a vet like him would be a good move

my proposed trade: barton denorfia cassilla for milledge nick johnson http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail? blogid=21&entry_id=34275 Right now, the A's are looking at mostly using Giambi as a DH andmoving Jack Cust into the outfield on a regular basis, but if DaricBarton doesn't start hitting right away, Giambi could wind up withplenty of time at first. Votto and edwin encarnacion to Nats for Zimmerman and either Dukes/milledge? Nats need a 1st baseman replacement for Zim if he leaves, have a logjammed OF.  And you could get the high priced FA to play LF (Manny, Dunn) Reds have a 1st baseman that will be ready late this yr with no where to play (Alonso), need an OF and would love to have the upgrade of Zimm at 3rd. Both have approx. same ...

The Nationals are gonna be the suprise of the year in 09. If they get Dunn, which I believe you will, and some more relief, they have a suprisingly solid lineup. Nieves is a good catcher, Dunn is an excellent player at 1B (If not they still won't be terrible with either Kasto or Johnson), either Harris and Belliard can fill second(though that is another space where a FA could fit nicely, ...

1) The guy has never been on a winning club 2) The guy is going to cost too much money 3) He is a type A FA, which means we would have to give up our top draft pick to Arizona to get him. 4) Johnson is a starter when healthy, Dimitri is a starter when healthy. What are the odds that they are both injured 2 years in a row. In conclusion, why give up a draft pick on this guy. A #1 overall ...
