but nothing beats the who's live show! I saw the who in 1981 or 82....very lackluster. Remember Eminence Front? Still nobody has ever sucked like the stones Tattoo You tour. (also 81 82). I imagine the who's reputation live was built on Moon's manic drumming?

love the who, but the stones and the beatles are superior, larger body of work, more experimentation, more invention. who albums to me are farily similar when compated ablum to album or song to song even. for me, nothing is better than beggar's banquet! I always find myself playing beggar's Banquet or let it bleed when i want to listen to the stones. The beatles and the who are great examples of opposite ends of the...

you mean I'm the talented one? I thought he meant lack teammates liking you. Was Pete unpopular within the band? I thought he and Keith were tight? He wasn't unpopular with all of them, but is widely known for being the brash arrogant one (the qualities you like in Dempsey, etc. and I don't disagree with you). There was plenty of fighting among the members though (Daltrey even laid Keith Moon...

Subotic

Did we all hear that Subotic sent official word that he is going to be playing for Serbia? Guess Rongen must have REALLY upset him. Maybe Serbia has better talent than we do especially when it comes to the youth. The thing that must have made him hesitate was the fact that they have to qualify out of Europe. Good luck and good ridence

One time at a bachelor's party, I went home with a stripper. It was not my bachelor's party. Once when I was home from college, I picked up a girl at The Fish Market (a bar in Alexandria, Va) who asked if I was on Television. Being the handsome devil that I was in 1983, I said no, and didn't think much about it. Later, in my parents Nissan Sentra, parked on the GW Parkway overlooking the Potomac. She popped her head...

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!! Yankee you got any more stories. I was just browsing these forums here at work and I bursted out laughing. I should have stopped reading when the boss walked it. "There she was, my trusty center half." I hesitated before I told that one here....but i figured it was soccer related. :-) I have heard a similar story about a boozy Bruce Arena and a down-on-his-luck John O'Brien. His Trusty Center...

As long as we're bragging about barely relevant things, I scored a 33 on the ACT when I took it in High School (2003, Jr year). ACT? Isn't that for Agricultural Colleges? :-) What did you get on the SAT? These days, unless you want to go to an East Coast school, there's no reason to take the SAT. just joking. And I'll have you know that it served me well in the attaining of my degree in...

adu = ghanian... please do not consider him usa! get ur own talent instead of doing a france holland or arseeeenal That is one of the most ridiculous statements I have seen on this board. No wonder you call yourself a redneck. Here is something to ponder= Where do we ALL come from (outside of Native Americans)? OTHER COUNTRIES. Adu came here when he was what, five? He is from Maryland I guess you don't think Tim...

Clint Dempsey

isnt it funny that bobby zamora gets praised for his "hold up play" yet eddie johnson gets railled when he holds up the ball.e. even funnier is the idea that dempsey can't go 90 minutes, he scored a goal v Chelsea in the 90th minute for god's sake. Just like your chances of hitting a royal flush again after the next hand is 100%. :)

http://www.yanks-abroad.com/get.php?mode=content&i d=4320 Really good to read that Freddy both started and impressed in this match - and against Juventius none the less. When is the last time a field player not named Dempsey impressed on such a level against one of the top clubs in the world. Hopefully this will be the beginning of increased minutes for the young American.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Already got it in mono so no worries. If you haven't heard it I suggest you check it out. It's been argued as the greatest album of all time and I can't disagree. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcFDaDZbc3Y&feature =PlayList&p=3F69E77699CD9403&index=8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0XwbE8Yn7s&feature =PlayList&p=3F69E77699CD9403&index=14

Well, I guess I will start the roasting and in the End we will have Americas Biggest football(soccer) star and MLS will get better ratings from FIFA and we`ll get bigger soccer names come over here in MLS. Here`s the roster, Dempsey is Americas Glenn Hoddle, since he`s playing in England, what `s a better way to start his promoting, all you other writers have to do is spread the word and soon you...

Clint scores at about the ten minute mark against Chelsea. Nice, opportune flick off a crossed ball with lots of confusion in front of Cech. Commentators (FSC) mention his second in a row in a home game. Commentators had already mentioned his acrobatic bicycle kick in the last game that was "well saved." Go Clint!

What's wrong with Dempsey? I don't know if I'm just catching the wrong matches, but here as of late, Dempsey hasn't been showing much of anything. I have been able to watch the past few Fulham matches, and he just seems too timid on the field. He's not showing that fire and tenacity on the pitch...which made him and in which brought him to Fulham. To be quite honest, besides a flash here and...

So does anyone care to comment on Dempsey's goal celebration after the first one against Chelsea? It looked to me that he was opening a bottle of beer on his Reef sandals and then drinking it. Kind of odd. Also, I noticed that he was not celebrating alone in the corner...
