Again I will say that Drogba was partly responsible as he was barreling into Evans after Evans had already won the ball. Then his laughable reaction while on the ground earned him the card. His reputation for flopping is well known which I am sure had something to with it too. The original question was about anti-Italian sentiment and getting back that I would say there is this niiiggle when it comes to Italians. May be it is because of the world cup success or even the club success over the years, but it is there and often manifests itself in this broad brushstroke concept that Italians are cheats. Anyone see N'gog (sp?)'s dive? It drew a penalty, which enabled Liverpool to come back and tie Birmingham. Replays showed it was clearly a dive. He's already diving before the defender hits the ball. if you watch the build up you see at least 3 very reckless challenges prior to the hair-pulling. Terrible officiating. No this is not common....

I don`t know, but they are looking good. I think with some more skills in the offense and some hardening up on the defense, they could win the World Cup. I believe the way they are going now, if they were to play U.S. they would give them about 10 - 0 love and that`s without Blanco theatrics. Who else sees this ? no one
