NFL Rumors
Published (2009-12-03 23:35:00)
NFL GMs are rarely fired mid season. Ruskell has no contract after this season. Nothing about about who will be the GM for the 2010 season will officially announced till at least the end of regular season. Gruden has officially signed on for the 2010 MNF gig. My gut says that if even Holgrem does become the new GM, Mora will be given one more year. But even that's still a question mark because many around Seattle don't like or...

Sniff on this while you're at it. Post #19: Aug 25, 6:39 pm I liked the fact that Denver handed us their 2010 1st round pick for a 2009 #37. However, the Present Value of a 2010 1st round in 2009 terms is a #25 selection, for those finance and accounting majors. That was value, but it's not like Ruskell was calling around shopping the #37 pick for 1sts. Denver liked Alphonso and phoned Ruskell. A 2010 1st was minimum for that...

Why the infatuation with Locker?

That's probably very true. Zorn is toast in DC. It's a shame, because man did the injury bug ever hit his team this year...almost as bad as it was for the Hawks last season, so it's kind of unfair that the idiot 'skins fans are pinning all this on Zorn...but anyway, I do hope that Zorn didn't burn his bridges in Seattle because I'd love to have him back as the QB coach, both for Hass and whoever comes after him....

Zorn in as GM

First off: No thanks to Zorn as GM. Bring him back as QB coach if he really wants a job. I went over the the general board to see if I could find the thread. I looked at a couple of other threads and then remembered why I have not visited that wasteland of stupidity in a couple of years or so! Of course, it is pretty easy to figure out the mindset of the general board tools when two of the names that popped right up were xjuicex and...

Completely agree. NFC West matches up very well against them too. You look at the west and we have all the teams (even the rams) a few changes/developments away from the playoffs. The rams need some defensive changes, which they will get this offseason, and I think their offense is starting to come around. Boller looked very good today.

Ruskell officially resigning
Published (2009-12-03 17:49:00)
my guess is that he knew he was not coming back next year so he wanted to put his name out there so he could find a new job. That won't be happening anytime soon. Ruskell BURIED himself and won't be finding a new job ANYTIME soon, like never as GM again. We know I've been his biggest detractor, but the guy was lost from day 1. Who would want to hire a GM that trashed a solid franchise like ours? No time to gloat because...

One are you a seahawk fan? two how are we (Seahawks) the worst team in the NFL when, we are STILL in the playoff picture, why do the Seahawks want to tank the rest of the season?? we have two first round draft pick and we can still get good talent second round of the draft. Its not going to take 5 years if you can get the right people, you know who needs a rebuilding is your post

Update Seahawks running back Justin Forsett " tweaked " a quadriceps in practice Friday, putting his status in question. Julius Jones ' return from injury this week gives the team enough depth to limit Forsett's snaps if necessary. Via Sando.

All the fairweather hawk fans are in hiding right now. It's funny, I have had more dedication to this board than most of them.

Perhaps Jones will play with some fire when his starting job is on the line. We'll see this Sunday.

What concerns me more about Blount (I don't really care about the punch) is that he demonstrated a bunch of me-first attitudes, missing a bunch of team meetings and got suspended for doing so. I'd take a flyer on him in the 5th round if he was still around.

My perspective is that the Hawks need to get some pressure on Smith and rattle him a little. If they can do that then they should derail the offense and have a good chance to get the D. Of course they have to contain Gore also. He has had some BIG games against Seattle. On offense they need to control the clock. Establish a running game with Forsett first (unlike the pass first offense of the...

Another Florida Gators Legend Danny Wuerffel. Not a bad guy, but a player worse then advertised. Tebow's Mechanics seem off, I'd say that the best QBs are out of Cincy, Pitt and Texas.

Miguel Holmgren although Mortenson was sayin' this morning that he doesn't think Holmy goes back to Seattle and that Holmy wants somewhere new. He didn't cite a reference or anything tho.

Davis is a problem for any defense, but Crabtree? Come on, the guy is an overhyped rookie. What's their answer for Nate, Housh and Carlson with a healthy Hass throwing balls to them in front of a pumped up crowd at Qwest?

I wouldn't hire Holmgren as GM or HC, but you have to think that it's a 95% shot that Holmgren will take over as GM, unfortunately. If we could get Bill Parcells as President, it would be a great day in Seahawk history and GOD knows we need one.

Was that when he missed three field goals and was the main reason we lost a game we should have won? Thank god he can do great things when we don't need wins.
