Thanks for agreeing with me xellos.. Posey is considered to be one of the most versatile players from college in a long time. He can literally play every position including pitcher, with that being said, Shortstop was his second position so its fairly safe to assume he's decent qualty at that position.

Why does everyone want to play Madden GM mode with this team? ANYONE who doesn't think this team hasn't improved this offseason is foolish The offense is better(margianally), the starting rotation is better (big improvement over corriea/henn) and the bulllpen has been improved I'm sorry, but I have to take issue with your statement regarding the bullpen. Let's look at the two guys we've picked up and the pitchers...

Giants and Rangers Need To Talk
Published (2009-01-08 17:52:00)
Hey Jake - The reason Chris Davis is not now a Giant and never will be is because the Rangers want Matt Cain. You say Sanchez is not enough and then you say Sanchez and Alderson is too much. Well, start the discussion with Matt Cain. Now...do you still want Davis? Neither do I. For Matt Cain we would get more than Davis in return so pick your poison.Sanchez,Lowry,Sosa for Davis and a prospect or Cain for Davis,Andrus and a prospect.I would...

Here is a list in order of who I would hope to get at number 5. 1) Grant Green-SS-USC. The Giants don't really have a solid SS in their minor league system. He is a very impressive defensive shortstop and is the best hitting SS in the nation. 2) Dustin Ackley-UNC- He is a phenominal pure hitter and can swipe his fair share of bags too. 3) Donovan Tate- This guy is a legitimate 5 tool player. I am not sure if he has...

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/baseball/mlb /01/06/walker.mariners.ap/index.html The mariners signed Walker and they say they might have him close. What a disaster that will be!!! I thought the Mariners were looking to rebuild and regain respectability.

It has been pretty cool watching this new channel and some guys I've talked to around the nation get it in HD already. This channel is long overdue but they are showing the same games over and over right now.. They could do so much more on this channel with features on both leagues and all the teams... I think this is goona be a great year for MLB and the San Francisco Giants too... Chef

Giants have pitching which Texas needs. They like Lowry, Sanchez, Alderson, and Cain from what I've heard. The Giants current rotation is set, Lincecum, Cain, Johnson, Zito, Sanchez. I wouldn't mind trading Sanchez because his spot in the rotation would be the easiest to replace. Pucetas could come up and fill the fifth spot just fin I think. Lets be honest, they might have interest in ...

Step 1. Trade Sanchez, Lowry (if they show interest) or Alderson and Cash to Rangers for Davis and Salty or Teagarden. Step 2. Trade Rowand for to Yankees for 2 or 3 Prospects. Step 3. Put Winn in Center, and Shierholtz in right. Step 4. Trade Molina to anyone for a prospect or 2. Step 5. Begin training Posey as a shortstop where he played part time in college. He has a cannon and his legs ...

there is no Hall of Fame. Bert's lunch pail mentality-he always answered the bell with excellence year after year after year and Ol Uncle Charlie makes this the most obvious no-brainer of them all. Clockwork Orange, Aard Schenk, and Bert Blyleven.

make up your mind I swear to God I read the same people who chastise Sabean's moves this offseason now wants Manny Some people get it - All the players we have picked up are signed for one or two years, don't block anybody, and if we REALLY had someone that came up we wanted to start, they re all tradeable contracts who can help usaquire more talent Manny WOULD COST US OUR SECOND ROUND PICK...

I love my team as much as the next, however Sabean wont sign Bonds again due to him being a huge jerk, and a distraction. Isnt Manny a jerk and a Cancer to a team as well? Do the other guys on our team think we can have chemistry and can c0exist with this guy? If not I say go after Dunn or someone else. We dont need the headaches.

My article. Read the whole thing and tell me what you think. The Giants NEED to Make a Move for Manny Now By Jake Pisani The Giants entered the 2009 off-season with a handle of questions and holes in their lineup and rotation. General Manager Brian Sabean knew that a few visits to the free agent market could help patch those holes, if not repair them indefinitely. He...

According to Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post : The Giants, the NL West's most active team this winter, are quietly making an aggressive play for free agent Manny Ramirez , according to a major-league source. It's interesting to see the Giants being aggressive while so manyother teams are standing pat. Would Manny put them over the top? Iimagine Brian Sabean would like to move Dave ...

New rumors on MLBTRADERUMORS that the Giants have made a 3 year (with 4th year option) to Manny Ramirez. Also, the Giants are apparently looking at a one year deal for Joe Crede. In Crede's last full season (2006), he batted .283 with 30 homers and 94 rbis. If we could get him for just a million or two plus incentives, that would be a steal. What I love about what Sabean is doing, is looking...

Bay area batterychuckers at least have something to say and are at times cocky and ...

I know that the plan is to sign Crede if we sign Manny so that there is another bat in the lineup and then trade one of our outfielders. If we dont sign Manny, is there any chance that we sign Crede. The Giants are the only team that have had any interest in him. If no one else wants him, why dont we sign him to a 1 year deal for 3 or 4 million? He is better defensively than Pablo at 3rd ...
