theres a reason why Alex Smith (in his 5th year) only has 11 more starts than Matt Ryan (in his second year) . Right. Injury. part of being a good player is being healthy, he also missed games because he lost his job to shaun hill.

He plays on a team that will more than likely be one and four for the month of November, so I doubt it.

part of being a good player is being healthy WTC??? Then Tom Brady completely blew it last year. What a stupid play he made tearing his ACL. He's lucky to have his job back. Also, the fact that Sanchez is ahead of the curve. That doesn't mean he's playing well, but he's ahead of the curve for a barely 23-year-old QB.

So when the Niners allowed 6 points and had give INTs against the Bears they were "struggling" on D? I don't buy that for a second. Certainly a team doesn't want to give up big yards, but if they are forcing turnovers and keeping the other team from scoring, yardage is fairly irrelevant. that bears game was clearly about what Jay cutler did than what the niners did. Cutler threw 4 picks but still found himself in...

LOL Holding a clipboard isn't going to do jack. I can give youa list of successful qb's that have been thrown in the fire and learnedfrom it. The sooner the better. I'm not asking for miracles butdevelopment and if we are at 4-7 that won't hurt us or him at all. Stop being pansy's. Please do, this should be a very interesting list lol. And after you are done with that please list which ones of the guys you name...

I've been a Bruce fan since his STL days, If he never touches the field again .. It will be truly sad.

A&M has a sure handed receiver (the entire group is great) name Uzoma Nwachukwu who will be a household hold name next year. Their QB Jerrod Johnson is already on my heisman watch for next year. He's a black version of Colt McCoy with a better arm.

Oh, and feel free to tell me where I am wrong... this is of course assuming we decide to stick with Alex/Alice (no matter what side you're on).

Citing sources, ESPN's Joe Schad reports that Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen will enter the 2010 NFL Draft. Clausen's mind is probably already made up as the Irish head to Stanford for their regular season finale. Schad says Clausen's NFL stock is on the rise thanks to his quick release, pinpoint accuracy (67.3% completions), and improved footwork as a third-year junior. Charlie Weis hasn't proven ...

I honestly dont know, but I think Frank Gore will be almost done, because running backs dont last that long. Alot of players will be gone but on both sides of the ball on the O&D I think Joe Staley will be a All-Pro, Vernon will be the best TightEnd in League, Crabtree will be unstoppable. Quarterback (THATS THE SCARY PART) Defense (Only one person I can account for and thats Patrick Willis) ...

'Tundra' is not frozen at Lambeau ------ ( UPDATED 9:05 a.m.): Battle is on the practice field returning punts. Reggie Smith is also catching some punts, too. The 49ers have struggled with punt returns since the release of Allen Rossum was released when the 49ers had to create a roster spot for Michael Crabtree. Rossum was released because he couldn't stay healthy, he had a couple ...

its pretty obvious that he can put up points when the coaches open up the playbook, plus hes only 25 got a good head on his shoulders. and personally i dont see any franchise changing qbs coming out in the draft Agreed. Better game plan, better protection and he looks good. Get him a line, some plays, and maybe a speedy wr and look out.

His 12-22 for 116 yards and a TD performance was quite impressive in the win. Vince Young is the AFC's Shaun Hill. Don't make mistakes, let your RB and defense make plays, and coast to a winning record (as he plays on a better team). I personally doubt Chris Johnson's 151 yards on the ground, the D's stout performance, or the two missed FGs by Brown had anything to do with that win. Nope, all...

Second straight cy young award. The giants and niners are almost the same exact team, really good defense with no offense, lol. I have to say the giants are probably a little more dominant but the niners d has been real solid this year, especially because they have been on the field probably more than any team in the nfl. Anyways its been real bad in the bay for offenses this year hope this ...

Hopefully Singletary's judgement won't be blinded by his ego and his macho crap and see what fits this team better instead of forcing something that's not there. That's what a smart coach would do, let's see if Singletary is one.

What do you think is keeping us from winning games? Lack of leadership. Play calling and being able to identify what works offensively for this team is a huge downfall. 3 and outs time of possesion turnovers

I think Franklin had a pretty good year last year as well, so I'm not so sure its just a contract issue thing. Remember, for a couple years, players on our team have said hes been our most underrated player. As far as Cody...god he is just so f***ing fat. He seriously reminds me of Andre Smith. I'm not sure how Smith will turn out as a pro, but I'd have to believe that his injury is somehow ...
