Best Suns team since 2005 season?
Published (2009-11-12 06:34:00)
This team has a much better bench than 2005 team. Sure, the starters were significantly better in 2005

Goran Dragic

Dragic is no Nash, but he is doing a great job this season running the backup PG spot. I don't care who he played against.... 22 Minutes 14 points 7 rebounds led all Suns (That is impressive all in itself)..... 3 offensive rebounds tied all Suns 1 steal tied all Suns 6 Turnovers led all Suns LOL..... That will hurt his AST/TO ratio, but he is still dishing 2.4 assists per turnover. Nash is around 2.8. 1.9:1.0, now ......

Hornets fire Byron Scott
Published (2009-11-12 19:40:00)
He's a great coach and all, but the fact remains that he was not able to motivate the team. They need to shake things up in NOLA and it will be much easier to replace the coach, then the team, if you know what I mean.

IDK who did Peja guard last year when we played them? I agree we have a few guys that would be a mismatch for him either inside or out. hill on paul j-rich on peja Richardson should kill the hornets tonight

Earl Clark
Published (2009-11-12 10:27:00)
It's obviously too early to judge Clark but I have to give his critics or least doubters some credit and I'm starting to see their side. He does look lost out there and really doesn't seem to know how to move well without the ball. Of course, I've seen other rookies look lost and improve aka Dragic. So I'm trying to keep an open mind and assume he will play better with more experience.

Best Suns team since 2005 season?
Published (2009-11-12 09:23:00)
Fair enuf, gmat. I think it is clearly arguable that the 05 startiers were better, but I do think its clear that this is a much better bench. My main point is that regardless of which team is "better" the overall level of play has improved so much that being "better" than the 2005 team may not be enuf to get out of the 2nd round this year. Well, even in 2005, the Suns probably would not have made it out of the second...

14 points 7 ast 7 reb in 25 mins nash 12 points 10 ast 1 reb in 23 minutes of course Goran can still improve. Would you be comfortable with him being your future starting PG? Nash plays against Chris Paul and the starters Dragic plays against the subs...I love what Goran has done but ease up on the comparisons

It's not a measuring stick until the Lakers get Gasol back. Until Lakers play the Suns at full strength. Then you'll know where your Sun team is.

gotta feel for scott on this one. it's not his fault that the hornets have such a flawed roster and an owner who refuses to improve the team as he attempts to get under the luxury tax. i suppose i don't know how much say the coach had in the moves the hornets have made over the last couple years but still, he hasn't had too much to work with this year.

The Suns have a legitate history of having the premier point guards in the league for the last 20 years. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Chris Paul came here.

All off-season and pre-season, Ferrari69 called anybody that was optimistic about the Suns a regular season clown. Basically, he said the Suns were less than a .500 team and even if they played better than .500, they were still not a team that would win in the playoffs (even the first round). Coach Gentry has the Suns playing a much improved style of basketball. Defense is improved, rebounding ...

Very tough game tonight especially with how good the Celtics have been playing, it will be hard for the Suns to come out with a victory on the road but in order to win... 1) LB plays??? if not its going to be tough matchup for Nash on Rondo, plus we need LB scoring 2) Nash and Hill have their legs back after a tough game on back to back aganist Magic 3) Amare continue to get into shape and ...

Yeah his stats again are not impressive, but im still going to defend him being on the floor. Boston hasn't given up over 90 points all season so far and we just put up 110 on them! Frye clearly causes floor spacing havoc for opposing teams having to match up with so many versatile players. Also, when Rasheed Wallace was on the floor Frye was one of the guys who consistantly had a hand in ...

Boris is doing alright, but bell is still getting older and less of an impact. This trade looks highly in our favor at the moment.

agreed. the majority of the people in this board act this way. That's why the population of this board has gone down, because it's now run by Damtoni and Bazarretta, who are complete idiots who think the team is garbage after every loss and then take wins like they aren't anything. The only people here that I respect are Twistmoney, (GMAT), and..dnnyqst? lol.. future_champs isn't bad joblo, ...

We have to prove we can beat contenders. Of course all wins are nice but to discuss Phoenix as a contender, we have to beat teams like Dallas, San Antonio, LA, Boson, Orlando, Denver and Cleveland. We are 1-1 in that category so let's see how we do. It remains to be seen. I'm enjoying it one game at a time. I'm just thinking Hornets right now. I will worry about the Lakers later.

Would be nice to see what Clark can do, although i still think there is probably a reason other than him being a rookie that he has seen such limited time. He just may be having trouble coping with the increase in speed and size of the NBA game. Who knows. But he does seem like a good person to stick on Peja, although i think the key to this game by far is limiting turnovers and sloppy passing...
