OT: The Story of Anvil....
Published (2009-11-26 23:30:00)
Yup, it was a pretty good movie. But the story is the same as a lot of other metal bands. Some bands can deal with it, get through it, and be successful, bands like Anvil gave up almost too easily. The best metal documentary, BY FAR, is "Flight 666" - a look at Iron Maiden's Somewhere Back in Time tour of '08. Amazing doc, and lots of great concert footage, too. UP THE IRONS !!

What's that? ... Sid's cup ring in my ear makes it hard to hear. I think he knows what works best and what he's doing to be fair. Any more conferences or travel on the horizon? That 10 days you were away made a world of difference on this board.

Carolina inbreeding is just fine, though, eh? Hehe. True story Dup, I had a guy that worked for me that was from the very rural area's of Tennessee. I used to think all that was BS but I swear to you he actually told his co-workers that the first and best piece of az.z he ever had was from his aunt !!! My jaw dropped and no one knew what to say....He was DEAD serious and said it like it was no big deal !!

the automatic (not that it's supposed to be automatic) slashing penalty if the guy's stick breaks. i mean the sticks are about as durable as a piece of paper these days Even if the sticks break easy, to break them you still have to take a pretty good swack. And really, if you're playing proper D, you should either by trying to lift the stick or swack at the puck, neither of which would break the stick. Think of the...

I'm not trying to start anything....just when the OP first posted the thread I thought he was referring to that pass cause it happened right around that time. Basically just putting up the link for those who didn't see it.

Well, I think Sid overestimates the value of passing and underestimates the value of going hard to the net. And yes, Sid has to incorporate who he is passing to when making that assessment. Last night, in the third, he made a nice move (around Bergeron I think) and was in a prime position to shoot, but instead tried a no-look pass, either to Goddard or Guerin. It was the wrong decision.

Yea, Ok! I will write that down with my magical "clear" marker! If Parise played for Washington or Pittsburgh I bet you think he would have 40 goals by now. Settle down cherub, settle down. The best Canadian player is King Marty so don't forget it. In Lou We Trust

The Isles have been playing well and completely outplayed the Flyers in their last outing. I expect them to give the Pens a tough time and then lose by one goal, probably in OT. And if Fleury is going for a shutout bid, it will most certainly be upset by Moonwalker Matt Moulson!

A true hockey player. Takes a puck to the face, gets 50 stiches and comes back to help his short handed team in the 3rd period. Kudos to you, Ian. Hopefully the rest of this Flyers team follows suit. Love it.

Kobasew with the EN goal for the hatty. Game winner from Brunette midway through the third. As always with any goal by Brunette, the assists go to Blonde and Redhead.

Don't really get it. 2:30 in the morning after Thanksgiving, hitting a fire hydrant AND a tree, but no alcohol involved? "serious injury" at 30mph? There's more to this story. UNFORTUNATELY both ESPN and TSN will give us updates every 10 minutes.

I guess you were lucky the Pens were not playing tonight. You would have had to miss the caps game so you could critique Crosby's play.

Canucks would be: 1. Hank Sedin. Kind of smashed the theory that the twins would only be productive players if playing with each other. 2. Samuelsson. Very steady performer for the Canucks this season. 3. Ehrhoff. Also a very steady performer, and can produce on the O while playing very effectively on the D. As for the topic, the "quarter pole" is a bit misleading. The quarter pole in ...
