I am still so excited about this game and so many wolves had a hand in the victory, but Gomes was the guy that really stepped up offensively tonight. Who would have thought? Wilkins was fantastic tonight as well and was aggressive offensively.

Latest Rubio

I watched the entire game today on NBA TV. Not surprisingly, Rubio is not as impressive over the course of an entire game as he is in highlight footage. Actually, today was the first time I've seen Rubio play an entire game. My take-aways from what I saw today is that Rubio is truly a great passer. But I also noticed that he lacks quickness and still has a long way to go developing his shot. He did not look look like a player...

Anyone else notice that Charlotte is starting to come around? Jax, Wallace, Felton, and Chandler is a pretty good combination. I'm starting to think we'll get their pick.

Not unless we get a deal that cant be refused. Like an Anthony Randolph. Gomes is a nice "Glue" guy. And he is the reason we won tonight. He has a good IQ, and knows when to pass and shoot. He has one good game and you go overboard on his value. If he was so good we wouldn't have lost all of those other games.

I just saw the interview Jonny Flynn had with Steve Smith on NBA TV. That interview reminded me that no matter what I think of this team and where they might end up being, I'm still rooting for them and hoping for the best. What exactly did he say? I'm watching football right now lol. I'm watching the Nets make history. I'm seriously contemplating going on Stub Hub and paying $3 bucks to see if...

Congrats Tim! And everyone else that has been sticking with the club despite an extremely dismal start.

I agree, they're a top-3 defensive team in the league right now, which should be good enough to keep them out of the top-12

Oh...and I'd like to have Curry, but I'd like to have him as a SG, and if we had him, we wouldn't have Flynn, which means we'd be rolling with Sessions and Curry...Those two could never be on the court together without getting owned on defense.

If Rip was younger I would probably make this deal fairly quick but since he 31 and we arent ready to compete this year or next it doesnt make much sense unless they think Summers will be a lot better than a typical 2nd round pick.

kms -- I like your top three. But don't forget Wesley Johnson of Syracuse and Derrick Favors at Georgia Tech. I haven't watched either one yet, but I'm intrigued by what I've read. Favors sounds like he could be the second coming of KG.

I've always thought that was Kahns plan all along? Maybe not through free agency, but more likely through trades to get a big name after we've collected talent and see who's ready to take the next step...then cut bait with those who aren't. If he lands someone big this offseason....it just is more likely to speed up his rebuilding process...not abandon it. I suspect he lands someone pretty big...

My biggest saving grace in not taking Jennings is that if we had Jennings, Ricky Rubio wouldn't ever be a Timberwolf. The two really could not co-exist. As for Flynn, not only do I believe he could co-exist with Rubio, he has made it well known that he WANTS to play with Ricky. I was watching Sportscenter highlights tonight of the Suns game and they were showing Steve Nash put on a clinic with...

Okay I have a trade ideal that I think would help our team a lot. Min: trades Al Jefferson, Johnny Flynn, Ryan Gomes, rights to Utah 1strd pick, rights to bobcats first round pick Utah trades: Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, Rights to NY Knicks 1st round pick We Get lucky with either our pick or NY KNICKS pick land the top spot, Draft Wall #1 and take turner with the other pick. We re-sign ...

NBA2k10 i traded jefferson and gomes along with 2010 1st to philadelphia for andre iguadala, thadeus young, mark spaeeths and 2010 1st pick Did you mean Matt Spaeth the tight end from the Steelers? If so, I hate the deal because the Vikings don't need any more tight ends.

Well since he's a pro....it probably should be a little different. But really, if you're not out there in game action, going as hard and as long as you would in games...you're not going to be there with your wind. It's the same reason football players, while in total shape, couldn't just go start playing basketball at a high level for very long, and vice versa. Your muscles need at least a ...

http://www.canishoopus.com/2009/11/27/1176415/deal ing-with-no-hope check that article out. I think it's dead on. Personally, watching a game like this shows you that this is a team deep in losing culture. The urgency isn't there to get out of it. I don't think Love's the end all be all as far as possibly turning it around. We're not losing a game because we didn't get the extra board or ...

If there's even one silver lining out of all of this losing, it's that we did the right thing picking Rubio at 5. Now with Flynn looking more and more like an instant offense guy off the bench, assuming Rubio comes over, he'll be our starter. Now I read an interview from Ricky a couple of days ago, and he vehemently stressed that the Wolves themselves are not why he's not in the NBA right now...

Anyone want to comment on Flynn? Is he a career backup or bust yet? Wow he can't shoot at all and gets rejected every time he goes to the rim. Ridiculous with that pick, I knew we should have taken Jennings.

I listened to this interview last night. Of course I don't know who these guys asking questions are, but KM can sure talk. LOL He would go on for minutes answering a questions and they didn't say a word. I think if he could change anything that would probably be the easiest answer to give. Marbury screwed everything up. Imagine Ray Allen and KG together for 15 years. Neither had a huge ego Allen...

I don't know if the other teams would bite or not...but I would on the Wolves behalf. I would think we would have to throw out at least Utahs protected pick to get this done....but on the other hand we're taking on salary we obviously hadn't planned on with Hinrich. It gives us a better center prospect, it gives us a legit number one scoring option in Martin, and another young swing man in JJ. ...
