He is a great blocker, but he cant score. tyreke avereages more then thabeet has had this season.

Uhhhhh, we haven't quite given up on Thabeet just yet...lol  Yesterday against the Heat he had 5 blocks and altered many more shots.  He's already improved a lot since summer league and it's evident that he improves very quickly.  He's gonna be a defensive force in this league one day.

atleast the coach is playing him a little more now, but he still needs to get more min like alteast 20-25 min agame. they also have to give him the ball on offense sometimes too, his shot doesn't look so bad when hes all the way in the post with some small guy on him. and if his teammate don't give him the ball, he should take more of those free throw line shot since that seems like the only play they will actually give him the ball...

Houston Fan here. I too have been shocked by Thabeet, and I do not truly know what to make of this situation. I guess maybe he has to be considered a bust at this point, but I must agree with your question is he being used properly in Memphis. In any case, 2.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg, and 1.16 bpg in only 10.5 minutes is probably not what Memphis had in mind when they took him with the No. 2 pick. If Houston could get him for their 2010 first round...

I liked your lineup when you had Gasol and Thabeet playing together. It forced the Celtics to be a jump shooting team for a couple of minutes. I've watched all his games at UConn, and he has improved for the most part. He does what everyone thought he would, and is what everyone thought he would be. A project. The Cavs win was a big win ,but it's not the biggest in franchise history. Some of my best memories came in the 03-04 season when they went to the playoffs for the first time. I don't know if anyone remembers ,but they were 15-17 going into the New Year in the 2003-2004 season. They wound up winning 35 of 50 and finished 50-32.  I say this ,because the Grizz are 10-13 right now ,and are really starting to play well.
