Spiral. I have been very critical of  Schaub all season and i will be next season until we make the playoffs and win consistently, and only then will he be worth the 2 picks we gave up to get him. I would like to see our team go after Colt McCoy in 2010. Oh that QB i was talking about is Archie Manning..                        Texans..

i knew i would get at least one person started.  But hey if 2010 is uncapped,  some long term deals should be made now and over the next year.

Hopefully.......there is someone he wants to talk to this a member of a playoff defense. That maybe he can't talk to until their season is over. I have been hoping to hear something as well. It's gonna be a long offseason and things are gonna get really wierd around here.

I would say we take a DE in the first.     Looks like its gonna be a Safety, maybe.  Taylor Mays will be our boy, and kudos to Spiral.                                     Texans.. Yeah it does look like we will be drafting a safety with our first selection. here are the two front runners stats head to head.  William Moore-264 tackles 3 forced fumbles 11 interceptions 4 TD Taylor Mays- 180 tackles 1 forced...

The best thing texans could do
Published (2009-01-04 01:58:00)
One way I would want us to look O line in Round One is if we pick up a decent DE in free agency, ( and another later who we can develop ), and then go safety in second round it is supposed to be a deep draft for safety so if we could get a highly touted guard or tackle and shift guys around I would be happy. Alex Mack at center would suit me fine as well.

The Importance of a Safety
Published (2009-01-08 17:32:00)
There are three well known safety prospects in this draft, Taylor Mays, Willie Moore, and Patrick Chung. I would be more than excited to get anyone of these three because I really think they could help the D out a lot, but if for some reason Mays and Moore are gone by 15 and Chung is gone by our 2nd round pick there is another safety with some amazing workout numbers. Kam Chancellor from Va Tech would also be a great prospect. He is 6'4...

I think people that haven't played alot of football in their lives truly underestimate the value of the safety position. For years now I have been begging the Texans to draft a safety and we never do. I understand alot of people calling for Orakpo or Michael Johnson but drafting a d-end at this point would not be the best thing for us right now. Drafting a safety like Taylor Mays or Willie Moore ...

I thought this would be interesting, let's see who remembers some of the draft day blunders. There are alot of them, there is a reason we aren't in the playoffs. We have been doing much better lately, hopefully we continue. David Carr... BUST... Like it or not the guy is a bust. We didn't do a good job of supporting him but he wasn't #1 material either.

What do you think of him in the fourth round? He could take Jacoby's spot on punt return if he can't stop fumbling, he could be a great fourth or fifth wide receiver, and he could be on the roster as a receiver, but also third string QB as well ( he is probably better than Owen Daniels who is our third right now. And as a quarterback could add interesting wrinkles to the offense he can throw run ...
