We came off last season with a 7 game win streak and crushed Hawaii in the Bowl game, that is why we were ranked No. 1 and in some polls no. 2. We had the talent but this year we lacked a well disciplined team and injuries were a factor as well.

How many times between now and September will his 2009 season be compared to Shockley's 2005 season? And, if we happen to lose a few games this Fall, how many times will he have to hear, "Well, he's no D. J. Shockley"? Don't get me wrong ... I'm looking forward to the future. But I can't help but think that, by the time September rolls around, fans' expectations of Joe Cox are going to be absurdly high.
