BT 13, Do an internet search for witchcraft lure eyes.very liflike and have a stick on backing. You will want to put these on before you clearcoat the bait, otherwise thay will come right off on your first trip out. You could also dip things you find in the garage to paint on eyes as well, wooden dowels,q-tips,an old sharpie, dull pencil,etc....experiment...><>...HS

Without a doubt it would be the Zoom French Fry in green pumkin. These baits have saved the day for me numerous times. They can be flipped and pitched to finicky bass in thick cover on a Texas rig, dragged in the depths behind a C-rig, rigged on a shakey head around docks, nose hooked on a drop shot rig, and even fished weightless as you would a trick worm or Senko. Most of the time mine will get their tails dipped in Chartreuse dye (as will...

ICE BASS
Published (2009-01-02 02:14:00)
WE use live bait for bass under the Ice. we have a ice fishing derby every year and catch loads of bass thur the ice.  We use big shiners and some jigging with swidish pipples and black senkos.  Most ofthe time we fish for salmon brookies and lake trout!

I have tinkered with painting crankbaits with finger nail polish and have had good luck on them. I am not sure if it is the lure type or the color that are to blame for  the strikes, but the fish have inhaled my lures deep.   What kind of paint is the best for painting crankbait and such. There are several different kinds and i did not know where to start but i would like to get a little more serious with it.

My personal advice would be to keep them in the bag - just to keep the smell locked in.

I have just started painting up my shad raps and pop-r's and they have surprisingly turned out pretty well with just using crude materials looking in the garage and my dads tool box. But my question is the preferred technique for eyes on the baits. I have been just taping off the original ones but what would be the way to put new custom eyes on them? appreciate it.

I have several powerbait soft plastic worms. Do they need to stay in a sealed airtight bag, or can they be moved to a plastic tackle box?

I've started custom painting crankbaits.  I am looking for a lot of old "retired" crankbaits, ( just need cosmetic work).  Where would be a good place to find some and perferablly cheap?

I will probably get my arse back on the water for a full season this year coming up. My approach to this season will be to simplify my entire tackle system so I spend more time concentrating on fish location and keeping the baits wet. If you looked in my boat or "bait shop" here at home you would think Johnny Morris let me loose in Springfield for the day without any cash registers in the way....

I currently have a Lowrance 520c in my console and I am thinking of adding a Humminbird SI 997.  Since I have the navionics chip in the Lowrance, I was hoping to use it for navigation and use the SI unit for sonar.  Has anyone tried this?  Can it work, or will they conflict with one another (if both are using GPS)? Thanks, Mark in Virginia

What is all the hype with the supposedly new split grip design? i just cannot see how reducing 3 or 4 inches of cork would help sensitivity especially if it makes the rod more tip heavy plus as in the case of Kistler the eva foam which rods had years ago was just something to freeze your hands in cold wet weather.

Just this year I've gotten pretty serious about fishing and still learning as much as I can. One question I have. What is the best way to rig the yum wooly hawgtail 4.5. Would you textspose(ms?) and what would be the proper hook and size. Also, if anyone has any additional info on rigging worms, tubes ect.. I would appreciate any info. thanks
