Not much happening around here. Did a bit more of DnD with the kids. Tried Miniature Market. See how that goes for figures. Looking to do the final two battle scenes for my kid's games. Mining shaft where slaves are and an elemental air ship. Ah well.

You gave up a fortune in $$$ to gain a fortune in self-esteem, and if you're the religious sort (as I am), a few more points in your favor at Heaven's Gate. You did the rare thing- the humanitarian thing, the right thing- at every turn. Hold your head high. If your personal situation is indeed that dire, though, seek the help of the Gov't agencies (Fed/State/City) and social/religious organizations that exist to aid those who...

And Mega's a RBDM to his kids. We didn't get to game yesterday as planned. One of our guys guilted another into helping him paint more of his house after another friend (this game's DM) went down to help in the AM just so the guilted one could game... And then not even get to show up due to the guilting. We all were a bit sore over that. DM deciding to start planning his next game in the Realms.

I have not found a direct example, but I found references to a radio commercial promoting math and science skills in girls - a girl asking her father questions like, "Why is the sky blue?" and such. Apparently, the commercial ends with the girl asking her father if he knew why the concepts of odd and even are considered a philosophical illusion, and Dad's answer is, "Why don't you tell me?"...
