I love both duck hunting and deer hunting. Duck hunting is like instant gratification for me. I love hunting ducks at the beginning of the season, but once rifle season starts I start getting serious about the deer. Of course there are many days when I'm sitting there thinking "this is so stupid, I've sat here the whole season and haven't killed a deer." It's days like those when I'm thinking nothing...

OH MY GOD. It was more than I could have ever dreamed. Killed my first canada followed very closely by number two and thee. We both had limits in no time. Could have easily taken 20 plus a piece. Heading out shortly for blacks and greenies. Thats what my face has looked like since about 8 this morning.

I was wondering if anyone can fill me in on certain lakes to hunt. I was looking on Google Earth and want to know if anyone knows if you can hunt on these lakes. Sterling Lake, Potake Pond, Tuxedo Lake and or greenwood lake. I already checked with region 3 DEC and they were of little help. I'd like to shoot a big buck just as bad as anyone else would but will never put in the time. My problem is I realy enjoy venison but don't care that much for deer hunting. Well guys unfortunately i am back in NY, yet it was an amazing trip i had the time of my life out there in NE South Dakota.
