I think if you want to use ASIO at all it needs to be connected in the DSP. I'm not sure as I've never run into what your are getting. Of course, I've never tried all options in KX drivers either....... there's much I don't know about them.

Does fX conflict with HD Audio?

You are using XP SP3 right? There is info on the net about problems with HD Audio related to SP3 (and KB888111 which I guess SP3 prevents from being installed) that sounds like it may be related to the problem you are having with your video card. See the following for more info and a possible solution: Bored SysAdmin's Blog: Windows XP SP3 and Microsoft HD Audio UAA Problems (Update 3)

Yes, I found that too. But the problem described there isn't the same as I'm having. The references all date back to shortly after SP3 came out and relate to omissions MS had made. I believe that those must since have been rectified through MS Updates. At any rate, the UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio is listed in Device Manager > System devices' on my PC and is working normally. My problem is not that an HDMI audio device...

I had the same problem as the person that started this thread. But changing the settings did not help. I can't select "mic" in my control panel; it does not exist. Does this matter? I can either select the "0/1" option or "HQ" option, under sounds in my control panel for the recording options.

Did you try other outputs like 4/5 or Master Mixer? I don't use Win7 or digital out so I can't really offer more.

I'm using epilog. I'm not trying to record via ASIO so I don't have to wire anything do I?

Sound from no DSP

Sorry, its the wave slider effecting this, which remains after the DSP is clear. Didnt notice that. Silly question I guess.

Sound from no DSP
Published (2009-11-29 23:33:00)
Quote: I thought if nothing was hooked up in the DSP, there would be no sound. Well, by default (i.e. with no code) the DSP just copies values from its inputs to its outputs. And the code loaded into DSP just overrides this "default" routing.

My microphone does not work.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have an SB0350. My mic is plugged into wave in or mic in jack and set to 10k2 [e880] 0/1 in the sound control panel under sound recording and voice recording. I have no sound coming through my speakers, so I don't think my mic is working. It also doesn't work when ...

Does fX conflict with HD Audio?
Hi
I've just installed a new graphics card (Asus EN210) on my PC, on which kx10k2 (3550) has already previously been installed. The EN210 has an HDMI connection, which was mainly why I installed it:- I was aiming to get not only digital video sent from my PC to my TV but also HD audio, on the same ...

Dscaler don't record sound from line-in with 5.10.0.3550.
Hi,
1st I have (an ancient) sound card Sound Blaster Live! Value and lately I installed 5.10.0.3550 kx drivers.
Previously, everything worked like it belongs (with the Creative drivers). Dscaler recorded sound from the input line-in, but I needed to record the microphone...

Thank you, E, for all your hard work.
Installed flawlessly on an old dual PIII SB0060 Live! system I'm running XP/Win7 on. I can't test more than 2 gig but all else runs great in both XP and Windows 7. (I did tweak buffers as I had to in 3548..... didn't even test it at stock settings)
Many thanks again!
EDIT: Thanks to the team as well! Great!

I don't know about the SB0100 noise floor but the slight difference in name is common. kX renames these cards (I suppose from the exact model number in a ROM chip on the card?!?).
CT4830 might be called a CT4832.
