Hi,
the platinum version is an old version.
There is no need to purchase a new license for a newer version like that.
I also replied to your pm you send me.

I'm not sure when the most recent update to DriverCleaner took place was, but I wanted to try the new 195.62 WHQL drivers so I uninstalled the old driver,
fired up DC, updated, and then booted back in Safe Mode. I selected every nVIDIA profile, and the Ageia one; the scan only took a few ...

If you install 3.5SP1 It will fufill the requirement and allow you to install the drivercleaner. 3.5SP1 should also be the full install.
Hope that answers your question.

If you're running Vista or
Windows 7 I'd say definitely leave it be until you encounter some problem. Mostly the same with Windows XP as well as long as it's not like many years old without any service packs. You could try the cleaning filter for the graphics driver files if you like, following the instructions in the program. Don't run filters that you are unsure of what they cover.

Best is to use it before you use the cleaning filter, but you only need to use it 1 time, so the next time you don't need to use it again.
Driver.cab is the file that came with XP original and the SP*.cab files are added by the
service packs. Use Cab Cleaner on all of them.

(2) Do I need to boot into safe mode first?
(3) What are all the different Nvidia filters used for so that I know for the future?
Great product by the way. I have heard ...

Cheers
