I'm a Vista + TV Wonder 550 PCI user. Is Catalyst Media Center easy to: Capture analog video and burn DVD ? I recently tried to convert a VCR tape to DVD. However, I ran into problems after problems... Vista Media Center nor Vista DVD Maker nor Window Movie Maker would capture analog video from Composite nor S-Video. Cyberlink Producer capture doesn't work with 550. Finally, Snapstream BeyondTV did the job, after some rather advanced...

Hi, I have installed the video card and necessary drivers, but for some reason, it isn't detecting any signal when I hook up my HD box to it via the coax cable. I have tried XP and Vista, but for some reason, XP has BSOD'd on me a few times since the installation. I haven't tried the vista partion as thoroughly yet, so I'm not sure if it is a hardware or software issue (BSOD was page_fault_in_...

Hey all, I'm running an ATI 8500dv, with a Time Warner Cable box. I just installed the newest recommended driver/software combo (catalyst + mmc) that is on the ATI/AMD website (The TV portion of MMC says 9.14). All that I'm trying to do is to run the cable signal to my 8500dv, so that I can simply watch tv....one would think that this wouldn't be so hard.... I've tried running coax to the ...

With the recent release of SP3 I decided to fire up my X800XT AiW again. So far the experience has been totally positive.... a stock SP3 with the software that came on my CD yielded a flawless MMC experience... it all works. Conversely using the software on ATI/AMD's site yielded a "can't find the tuner" message (when I know that the tuner driver is installed). Has anyone else tried their ...

Hey, I'm back in AIW Hell! OS XP Pro SP2, I am a veteran AIW fighter but this one has me stumped. I have an X800 XL PCI-E. The same drivers that work GREAT for my AIW x800xt Catalyst 5.13 & MMC 9.08 and AIW X9800 Pro Cat 6.2 & MMC 9.08 ( both are using NSP WDM analog drivers ) I can't get to work... I tried several other combinations also with no luck. Cat 6.1, 6.2 and MMC 9.08, 9....

Ok, at the moment i have a powercolor ati radeon x850xt pci express, and it seems that only catalyst 9.3 is supported by this card... Let's suppose i buy the powercolor ati tv wonder 650 pci, i woud like to know if there is any compatibility issues between these two cards, because the most recent drivers for the ati tv wonder 650 seem to be numered 9.4, i have no idea if this means any ...

Hi y'all. I'm just a frustrated ol' geezer tryin' to make some sence out of the issue I'm having with MMC 9.16. It won't record off the ATI AIW 2006 PCIe for more than 8KB; that's 1 split second worth of video! I had just reloaded my machine with a new XP SP3 system I bought off of ebay. My PC has a really old OEM loaded copy of XP that had been auto updated for the last 5 years. I thought ...

I just registered... I was here two years ago when I first had this exact same problem (worked fine for a few months, then crapped-out). I was able to fix it using the above procedure then, and I'd like to thank the guys here for that fix. However, it happened again about a year ago, and THAT fix no longer works - my computer locks-up when I hit "retsart computer now". If I just exit out ...

Found the solution- The driver set that I downloaded from ATI was apparently beyond, despite any on-site suggestion to the contrary, what the device could use. I backtracked in the archives at ATI/AMD and found an older driver version (7.1) that worked. I found a thread at another site that described a similar issue that was solved by using an older driver in addition to not installing the ...
