There is a whole new industry coming because of the plug in electric cars
that will replace the outdated hybrids
I bought stock last year in a company that will install parking meter type
plug in stations, in public places like parking lots and housing complexes,
where one can plug in their car and pay the cost with a credit or debit
card.

According to what has been previously published, around 130 miles, on the
generator alone, before the voltage would drop. Even then another 50 miles
or more is possible if need be.
By the way the generator motor runs at only 2,000 RPMs. not 3,000 RPM as
stated in the accompanying article. That is a much lower RPM, by around
1,500 RPM less, than the 4cy engines in currently small cars, ...

About 2 1/2 years ago(I think) I was doing some a/c work for an elderly
couple. The man used a walker and could barely get around with that, and
didn't drive any more. The wife was in pretty good shape-- said she was
80 and that she did all the driving. There were two cars in the driveway
under car covers, and I had to ask her what they were. She said they
were both Cougars, I think about 92...

I own a 97 Blazer. Never GM again. Just an example of poor design: To
change the fuel pump is $600 labor. The tank must be drained and
dropped. The pump is $385, last one I had done (180k, on 3rd one
counting the original).
There are many other examples, it would not surprise me ...
