I went with a Bosch reman from PepBoys. The starter I pulled out was a Bosch, and PepBoys offered a "ProStart" reman for $64.99, or a Bosch "certified" reman for $94.99. Both hade a 12 month warranty, but I spent the $30 more thinking I would get a better starter. Perhaps I just wasted the extra money? This new starter sounds like an airplane taking off. It seems to spin the motor so much faster. I also...

Hobbled Chrysler plans to stiff taxpayers for $3.7 billion http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/index Updated: 12:44 p.m. ET Life seems to only be getting rougher for Chrysler. The smallest of Detroit's Big 3 is going to cost taxpayers $3.7 billion because its pre-bankruptcy government loans aren't going to be paid back. Chrysler is stuck with a tired product line that won't get any fresher at least until...

Chrysler under Cerberus ownership should have immediately began plans to bring back the LH platform and flush the heavy LX platform down the toilet. The LX platform served Daimler well as a destination for a lot of mercedes components, but it only made LX vehicles more heavy and expensive. All-wheel-drive passenger sedans was a crock of shit who's only purpose was to extract a not-insignificant amount of $$$ from the stupid idiots who...

I got this email from my daughter. So, earlier this week, I notice that I am past due for an oil change, about 3 months and 3,000 miles late! Believe it or not, I'm usually timely with these things, but it was due right after the move, and I was caught up in all of that activity! So, with plans to get it done this morning, last night, leaving work, the oil pressure warning light comes on. I start driving home, and at a red light, check...
