I hid the golf clubs but around here no one speaks German. (works on BMW) I cleared the code (Peake) and drove it again. Same code but the idle is not bad... parked it. Ordered part. Thanks!

E30 318is instrument cluster
Published (2009-12-16 18:34:00)
My odometer is only showing 2/3 of the actual distance travelled, and my temperature gauge is starting to twitch. I dropped my car in for a service today, and the service person advised me to buy a complete second hand cluster and replace both gauges. Is there any difference between an E30 318i series instrument cluster and a 318is cluster? Is there anything I should watch out for when changing the gauges? Thanks James

Classic BMW Wallpapers Download
Published (2009-12-17 08:51:00)
I'm a classic BMW fan in Hong Kong, 2002tii & 3.0CSi were my dream cars when I was a kid. I like creating car wallpapers. Lately, I've been making some on classic BMW like 2002tii, 3.0SCL, 507, Turbo (1972), Isetta & more. I would like to share with the BMW fans in other parts of the world. Do have a look at my "BMW Art" page if you are also a fan of those vintage models & looking for...

BMW E30 Control Arms
Published (2009-12-19 18:16:00)
Does anyone have personal experience with Meyle brand control arms for the e30? I have always used Lemforder because people _felt_ that Meyle were crap. Well, time to stop the "feelings" and please give personal results. They look to me to be worth trying unless there are actual bad experiences. Thanks.

No help on the door - my remote / lock has been intermittent for years. It seems the closer I get to the car the more likely it will work - but putting a new battery in doesn't improve the odds of it working. Dunno on this one. When the windows squeak going up / down I spray them (both inside and out) with the silicon spray that leaves a white residue behind. Send them up / down many ...

Transmission fluid is red, unless it's burned then it's brown. It's light weight, lighter than engine oil. Do yourself a favor and put one side of your car on the curb and slide underneath it on the street to see what's wet. If you have a floor jack, then jack the car up and look underneath. (I'm guessing you do not have a floor jack, so you can accomplish the same task by putting one side...
