QUOTE(elricc @ 27th Nov 2009, 7:27 pm) I run ASDAN for the kids with behaviour problems (14-16 yr old) I bit the bullet this week and took them to the RSPCA centre near by and they were absolutely fantastic, we spent 2 hours today planning how we are going to raise cash for them, and these boys were talking to teachers they normally treat very badly about bringing in old towels and duvets so they can do a christmas run. Should I Put My Puppy To Sleep?

The way I see it, as long as both ends are working as they should there's not enough wrong to think about pts. She sounds a happy little soul to me so, as long as she stays like that, why should people think she shouldn't be here any more? People do have some strange ideas don't they?. Chris

But I would have thought she agreed to get the dog speyed, or at least signed an adoption agreement which says the dog must not be bred?? Poor girlie, I think I'd be a grass in these circumstances, your mate seems to think she's a cash cow and that is NOT on.

Quality of life means different things to different dogs - so long as you are meeting her needs and her happiness outweighs her unhappiness then why shouldn't she be alive? To be honest I've never heard so much rubbish talked about ...

I've got a dog that dogs trust brought over from Ireland, they had quite a few in when I was looking. They did have quite a few puppies in too, and it was awfully tempting to take one home. The puppies were beautiful, but I actually came home with a large, estimated 5 year old (but he may in fact be older than this as he has some arthritis problems) pointer - who I was told that although ...

I'm fairly new to having dogs but we have had a rescue GSD. You mentioned that all stray dogs have to undertake their statutory 7 days in a pound. What does that mean? Have often wondered. Anna x

Oh Katie, you poor girl. What a mean lady you've gone to live with. I can't believe she's treating you so badly and leaving you to starve. Ask her to give you a carrot when you're hungry 'cause they're very good for your waistline. And if that fails, pack your bags again and head on down to Shropshire 'cause I love oldies and you look very much like my Ollie so you'd be a matching pair. And ...

My Gran's Yorkie. I didnt "do" small dogs, they were for pinky girlies and their handbags or little old ladies who knit. Then my grans yorkie became diabetic and no-one would give her injections, so we took her on. She was quite a quiet wee thing but soon got used to our Lab x's and even started to play with the smallest dog which was a joy to behold. She used to sleep on our pillows by our ...
