Maybe it was because he wasn't neutered nor was he used for breeding. He's the only male I've had caged inside the house so maybe the other ones didn't. Once I was feeding him before I left for school as I turned to go I heard him thump and then I had rabbit pee down the side of my shirt! Lexie is pretty good about peeing in the right place but every now and then she'll feel like she needs to leave a droplet here and...

Rabbits WILL drink out of a dish too but we use strictly Lixit water bottles and they never leak even after YEARS of use. You're more likely to have the tube come out of the base than have it leak. Your rabbit is a definite carrot fighter. A lot of my does will grunt at you if they want bred or have babies. It's quite comical. Theres a site called the language of lagomorphs that is a very good read....

I've heard a lot of people say that neutering helped but I've also heard a lot of people say that neutering did not stop the spraying entirely... I guess I'll just have to see.

fish
Published (2009-12-21 00:56:00)
I dont plan on adding more fish, I want to look after this tank and make it healthy then eventually get a bigger tank. I need to clean the gravel and replace the plants. The pet store is one of the best, they some times have small animals, they can be a bit crowded but very healthy and happy. when I was last in there they had some kittens that they said they got in very bad shape and they were feeding and vaccinating. they look after there...

Cat health question...
Published (2009-12-20 22:22:00)
She is going into the vet ASAP. The vet said to keep an eye on her and if she starts acting funny to call him. She is acting like her normal self. I don't see an open sore, which I looked for before I called him because I've had experience with abscesses before (in horses though..not cats). I am keeping her cleaned up with warm water..which she hates, but she'll live. Cassiel, the kitty, isn't my cat actually. She is my...

Try putting some hay in the litter box. Rabbits usually potty while they eat and that could attract her back to it. Also if you have a saw mill near you you can use that saw dust in her litter box and just scoop out the soiled parts as it needs. Not very expensive plus I know around here it's only $5-$6 bucks for a bale of pine chips. Some girls are just picky and really don't like being in ...

Im a cat owner and theres a few of us here no need to find a cat forum.
As far as him marking, perhaps since it was a new place he got a bit confused? I mean out in the wild he can mark where ever he feels like it, he doesnt need to use a box. Can you put him in the litterbox and give him treats? Can you give him treats when he attempts to do anything in the box? even smelling it. I dont ...

Mollies are live bearers, so it could be a baby molly. Or maybe a neon egg survived. Most get eaten but you never know. Or it could just be a smaller fish the last owners added.
What have you done so far? Cleaning too much too fast can hurt the fish, you need to go slowly when you inherit a neglected tank.
Do you know how large the tank is? What are the outside measurements?

Is there a visible sore? If so, yes, clean it up the best you can, flush it with warm water. My vet won't give antibiotics for an abcess that's already opened...he says that once it's draining it'll heal just fine.
If there's no visible sore, it's gotta be internal. Pyometra is a big concern with unspayed female cats. Very common. So that's a possibility. And pyo is a BIG deal. Definitely ...

Yay! I didn't know the poor guy was sick. Glad to hear he's doing on the mend.
What were the symptoms of the tapeworm? I think my cousin's kitty has them and the vet she's going to is no good at all. He keeps giving her steroids and antibiotics.

Tetracycline can turn the water red. (Keep in mind that tetracycline won't work if the pH is higher than 7.5.)
Good luck. I hope you don't lose all your fish.
