Poor guy he can't even enjoy the fruits of all of the familes work. One of these days we're going to be in your neck of the woods and I'll know exactly how to find you. I'll look for the man pacing behind the building or sitting in the car with a mask on looking like he's ready for a break down. I'll ask him where his wife and kids are, then he'll really freak out wondering how a stranger knows him by name...

True, but she can start working there once she hits 18. There is most likely a PetSmart there--you just haven't seen one while driving around. I'm sure there is a store locater on the site.

PetSmart doesn't accept volunteers or student programs anyways, and it's even difficult to get them to accept a shadow. I'd go to an independent source.

Fair, You should be proud of the dog. He did well. he has two masters, and obeys them both. most families would be glad to have that, as there is a lot of complaining about the dog only listens to one, or the other If you want to be the only master, and super-cede the DH, to the dog, then you will have to do all the training, and only let DH do enough to get mediocre obedience, and good behavior when you are not around. Given the achievement,...

You should be able to find someone in your area who trains "advanced" obedience. They should be the ones to best help, because you dog certainly won't be winning titles for not retrieving those dumb bells and gloves. Look online, check the local kennel club, make a few calls, you should find one.

The most important thing is experience. This you will get with time, But no one will hire you without it. I would suggest going down to an animal shelter, and volunteering to walk the dogs and spend time with their animals. This way you can learn how to work with a variety of dogs, and the dogs will benefit too
But it would be a great job, and your starting off right!!!

Those are 2 different issues. If they're taking stuff or have stuff they shouldn't, use the Leave It command or Drop It command.
Call them to you in a positive manner ALWAYS. And this is the only command I ALWAYS reward with a treat or toy (depending on the dog's preference). I do this so the one time I need them to come and don't have something in my pocket, they'll come.
Also, I use ...

I have not encountered a situation similar to yours with Sheena and Sliver...two dogs unknown to each other getting into a fight shortly after introduced. However, because their first encounter with each other resulted in a fight, I would not be comfortable leaving these two bitches together off leash again.
As for the dogs in your own home, it sounds like you are not controlling the ...

1. Her "down" has to be bullet proof first of all. Then it's just a matter of slowly moving toward the situation where she's moving (slowly at first) and you give the command. Use SMALL steps throughout the training. Start by having her heel and move very slowly and when she starts moving, you give the command. Then start moving a little faster, giving the command while she's in heel. Remember, ...

Well looking stuff up in Google, or Ehow, or wikihow, or youtube could help. All these are great when you want to know how to do something, you could try yahoo answers, but a lot of different people are on that and someone could make something up so yahooanswers isn't the best.
Hope this helps!
