Best thing to do is find someone local who has some hives in their back yard and or go to a little local gift shop, feed store and see if they know anyone growing bees. I'm very lucky in that one of my clients started keeping bees a few years ago and now I get my honey right from the hive in 5lb jars.

I read several of Dr. Dodman's articles and see where his initial analysis, which was based on a fairly limited study, was done almost 10 years ago. I do read a lot of journals from Tufts and typically find them a credible source. However, my take-a-way from this study was that high protein does not make a non-aggressive dog aggressive, but MAY tend to exacerbate symptoms of TERRITORIAL aggression where it already exists otherwise . In...

Well I am still going to go with a good quality food, so no worries about that! However, seeing as there have been studies on it makes me want to see for myself if changing the protein levels in their food would help with energy/aggression issues at all. I talked to hubby and he concurs about the timeline of Bella's aggression issues popping up around the time we had changed their food. It could be complete coincidence *shrugs* But I...

Yup, mine come out coloured, but if I leave it, and the sun gets it, it turns white.

I'm sure that the correlation between high protein diets and more energy is more due to the fact that high protein diets tend to be higher in calories coming from more fat. Usually, higher protein is associated with higher fat and lower CHOs. Fat is more calorically dense than CHOs. Also, protein tends to be more available to dogs than CHOs since CHOs are "locked up" more frequently by cellulose, hemicellulose, and...

I keep a spray bottle under the kitchen sink with 1/4 bleach, 3/4 water in it. I use this for the floor and counter. Spray and wipe. The dishes and utensils go in the sink and get washed with our dinner dishes.

What do you guys think? There is no issue with her not eating this because she is a chow hound and has the appetite of a ...
