Post # 22 Not to be the only downer but................DON'T BUY IT!!!! If that rig was an ambulance and they just changed the bed, it will be beat to hell with 85 k on it. Ambulances get abused and poorly maintained . 85 k on an ambulance is like 160 on a regular car. Now if you got it really chaep , that would be another story. Lots of clean solid rigs around for 3 grand. I just bought an 88 fo 1500 with 50 k on it.

Tranny Trouble ... again.
Published (2009-12-20 08:51:00)

Although it was in my truck for a while, the truck didn't put allot of mileage on before it started slipping. Although I can find parts vehicles. (Can a...

Post # 2 Tell the counterman you want one with brass contacts. Most auto supplies have them available. If they don't go to another store. Got my MSD cap & rotor at O'rielly's. Don't get Borg-Warner! They're made in China now & not worth a shit!

Post # 2 I don't know what the internal's of a heater box on a truck look like, however on my 78 van the heat/defrost was controlled by a rotary control about 2-1/2" in dia that was sealed with foam type weatherstrip that came apart more than 10 years ago. This caused similar problems.
