Are we sure that the 2010 Cummins will not have urea? I know they were saying the 6.7 met 2010 emissions, but....... If not 2010 then 2011? I may have to bite the bullet before that happens.

Buying a 24valve,Need Help!
Published (2009-11-02 22:39:00)
Sorry, I cannot reccommend a 24-valve any longer for the reasons stated above. At lest, it's not a 47RE transmission. For $14000, you are knocking on 3rd gen territory, and a much more reliable Common Rail injection system. One possible redemption point is if it's a 01.5, with the rear Disc brakes. That alone would be worth adding to my truck. I'h hold onto the '92 a bit longer unless something big is about to go.

My opinion is to go with a track skidsteer, Much more stable and can go about anywhere without problems. The excavating company i work for has a few bobcat T300's and are alot better when compared to the wheeled skidsteers.
Bobcat and Caterpillar make great skidsteers
As for your budget, look for local auctions and classifieds but usually a good shaped diesel skidsteer with decent hours...

All of that junk was on the filter, no rodent debris so it's not a home for something, garaged and no mice or the like. I'm still shocked. I had pulled the intake tube for the air cleaner out to allow more air flow, but now have that back in place.
Don't hate me for this but are you smoking crack??? If you don't have a rodent problem then...

I don't think removing the hydraulic pump will aid in trying to get the
engine to turn over a time or two. I believe most have an open system. The
only reason the pump might interfere with starting would be if it's locked.

i think they are waiting for final ratings from ford's new engine.
OR
dodge's current rating with the 6.7 is right on the verge of emissions legal. IF they go any higher with the ratings they might need urea.

A couple things could be the grid heaters getting weak or not working. Lower compression makes things harder to fire off as well.

Now that I'm ready to buy one, I remember them getting quieter all of a sudden. Was that with the 3rd gen in 2003? Have they progressively gotten more quiet as the years go by? The noise has always been the road-block with my wife (the cost for a new one is my problem) and now that I'm ready I can't remember.
I know it's probably a subjective matter, but I'd love some opinions.
