YIKES!!! Not with my tranny..... It may work, but I'm not knowledgeable about these trannies, and I wouldn't do this kind of mod without learning the how and why and what-if about it.... I want to do something, just don't know what yet.

best place to get engine parts?
Published (2009-11-08 21:37:00)
not a smart azz answer if you want stock product. they make it for the motor so they should have the best price plus it will be the right part. thats why i by my motor parts from cummins and not dodge or anyone else

I have the MH rear and am happy with it, and the 8 qts it holds. At my next fluid change I will put something on the front to make changes easier. I am not sure yet, but probably not a MH, don't need the capacity or $$ for the front. Also the fitment issues with leveled trucks.

cp3 question
Published (2009-11-08 09:38:00)
It will eventually but not without some rather obvious indications and a lot more miles. The VP was real finicky about the fuel supply and would die for no reason even with good fuel pressure. Low supply just massively acclerated its demise. The CP-3 is lot more robust in that respect so it won't fail immeditely.

I had a similar design of a Fumoto valve on one of my older gassers. It was convent, but always left some oil in the bottom of the pan. So once a year I would always take it completely off just to get the last few onces of used oil out of the pan. I don't know if the Fumoto has any holes where it threads in so that it will completely drain the pan.

I've got a 35" Toyo MT spare and it fits fine with the dif cover - you can just see the edge of it in the above picture. YMMV if you're running a short-box.

I would think sending the oil in would tell you if that is where it is going. The other possibility would be the heater core, and the coolant dribbling out with the condensation from the AC.

seems to me it is a notch on the balancer. Watch your rockers on cylinder #1 and when they "rock" (exhuast closes, and intake opens, assuming your turning the engine in the correct direction)you will be close to TDC, so then take a good look at the balancer. I think it should be straight up, but can't remember for sure.

I don't have an answer for you, but it is interesting that you bring this up. I was at a dealer two nights ago looking at an 06 Mega Cab that had aftermarket wheels on it. I passed on the deal cause half of the lug nuts were broken off......I know the torque specifications are different depending on the material the wheel is made of. Maybe these aftermarket rims are a harder material and the ...

he's not building up rail pressure more then likely which means its the fca or injectors. the reason its high is that the injectors cost over 300 each, not the labor. do a flow test to see how many are bad

I don't know about sodium but silicon is basically dirt. Check or replace your air filter for sure. Make sure you stay on top of filter changes.

Very happy with the PML's. Have them front and rear. Excellent fit. Mine are the plain cast ones, no powder coat. Have had them on for about four years, no leaks, no complaints. I went with the plain ones because I heard they cool better.

The input shaft is held in place at one end by the pilot bearing. Sounds like yours has gone south and taken the input shaft bearing and seal with it. Fill out your signature so we can see what you have and better help you. I have not heard of anyone having this particular issue. Welcome to DTR.

I think the Marketing Department called the '05 motor 325hp/600ft and the '06 motor 325hp/610ft. Cummins considers them the same.
