Painting stock wheels

im glad i did my own wheels. not just because it looks good (yours look great by the way trinity ) but if i want to change styles its easy, if i get a nick in one i just pull it off and fix it. i dont plan to always have these wheels on, but even when i get a second set of rims ill keep these just in case i need them. plus its easy and cheap.

Just got back from looking at some cars. I do it all the time just so know how i feel in a car first hand. First i saw a 08 Si Sedan like my old one. It was so familiar getting back into that car. Low center of gravity, race like seats great Heel toe pedal position. But it was so low i remember how annoyed i used to get trying to get of the car, plus no navi, & no TQ. Next was a S2K....Yea, fully adjusted i was so cramped in that car....

I would have disco'd the battery too, doesn't look like you did but who knows. Airbag sensors have got to be up there somewhere, would suck to pop a bag while working in the bumper area.

I really like the design of the 2009 and earlier model. They aced the retro look better than the new 2010's which look more "girlish". IF, you are running the F1's, it will NOT handle for ****!
You WILL need different wheels/tires, IF, you dare drive in the snow!
Last winter, tried to drive mine on one inch of snow and had NO handling control with the F1's.
Come to a stop and no matter how light you stepped on the brake, it just kept sliding!

i took mine off the car, removed the center caps. washed them real well, sanded with 400 grit to scuff them, cleaned with tar and wax remover (pretty much mineral spirits) and i taped off 3 of them but ran out of tape for the fourth. so on that wheel i got dish soap and brushed the tire face with it. old painters trick, paint wont stick to the soap and it rinses off with water.
after about 4-5...

Between 3,000 miles and 5,000 miles. Like to stay closer to 3,000 miles but a lot of people's oil analysis has suggested that closer to 5,000 miles in normal daily driving is ok.
I think my last change was at 4,000 miles.
