There is a lot going on with you. To answer the question about why the right side only. Bulging disks, or pinched nerves, or spine arthiritis usually affects one side or the other.. . common. I am guessing that you are right handed. Handedness and posture make a difference with spine pain. A simple thing to do is watch how much weight you spend standing on one leg or the other. Try to distribute your weight evenly over both sides. Also watch...

I have a burning sensation that gradually turns into a sharp pain inbetween my left shoulder and neck, I guess you'd say its on my back because its not ontop of the muscle inbetween the shoulder and neck. The odd thing is, I asked my fiance to feel if theres anything she could feel wrong with it and she was immediately able to find the spot ...

I had a fall on ice at work March 2008. Under care of a pain clinic now and after 4 series of pain shots to no relief. My MRI have been negative. The pain shoots from my lower back around the front of my leg down to the foot. The pain is so excruciating it wakes me up feeling like a vice is squeezing my leg all the way down. Now I noticed my toes are turning a dark (almost dirty) color at the...

Hello - I agree this sounds like a complete coincidence, as there is little to nothing that would conncect the disc deneration and the staph infections. The lower back problem didn't happen overnight, although it doesn't become apparent until it reaches a certain critical point. People often say "I never had this before", and all one can say in response to that is "You have it now." Most such ...

Hello, I am actually posting for my girlfriend since accounts are closed. I checked the forum rules and there did not seem to be a ban on this. If I violated any terms I apologize. Here is the situation, she wrote the following herself: 25-year-old female. No past diagnoses or surgeries relating to back pain. Family history doesn't include any back issues. Current mediations: Ortho tri cyclin, ...

Hello, This pain could be due to a muscle spasm from viral infection as your doctor mentioned. It is usually accompanied with low grade fever and nausea. Muscle spasm alone can cause this pain and can also be of an unidentified cause. Inappropriate posture for long time like traveling, driving and certain types of work aggravates the condition. Self care and avoiding the precipitating cause ...
