I need to seal a new garage floor, and I'm considering several different brands. I have already decided to stay away from store-bought products since I've read some pretty sketchy reviews on them. Anyone have a brand they have used for a while and can recommend? I'm considering floorchips, ironite, and a few others right now.

My garage door uses "Lift Master" 1/2 HP opener. Since the previous owner didn't leave any remote, I bought a generic remote. It works fine after I set it following the instruction. Now the problem is the wall mount remote( http://www.flickr.com/photos/2401889...n/photostre am/ ) stops working. It was working before I set up the generic remote. I didn't find the manual at home and online. ...

with the help of this board, I installed 2 door and openers (clopay coachman series doors 9x8 with chamberlain 3/4 HPS openers. They work fine except that both make a lot of noise when I open or close them. I thought maybe just needed to "break in" some, but it is still same after about 3 weeks. I checked my tracks and both have the two sides of vertical track very close to being equal ...

I think I posted this in the wrong forum the first time so I'll ask again here. I have a Craftsman 1/2 HP model 139.53960SRT Garage Door opener that while opening this morning had the Motor Unit Sprocket holding the chain fly off the unit. Is this a part that can be replaced or repaired, or will I have to buy a new opener altogether.

I am building a shed with a 10'x7' overhead garage door. The problem is that the concrete floor is unlevel--1" in 10'. How best do I frame the door opening? Do I square the opening with the floor? Or should I plumb the vertical sides? Do I square the header with the vertical sides or match the slope of the floor?

I'm planning on building a carport with a shed roof. I will use 3 - 4x6 or 6x6 posts evenly spaced on each side to which I will attach a beam to each post that will span across the carport to the opposite post. I will use 2x6s for the rafters with plywood sheathing and a rolled roofing. I want to avoid having a center post in the middle of each beam span because I would probably run into it ...

I bought a Chamberlain Whisper 1/2 HP opener. I installed it myself, including the sensors. Very proud until I found out it will only open halfway. Stops at the same point every time. No blockages--needs some kind of adjustment. Thanks, Ted

I have a Wayne Dalton Wizard 2115 garage door opener that won't work. When I press the wall or remote button the light comes on but no movement takes place. The door is not jammed or binding. The motor does not operate. Could this be a starting capacitor problem? I can't seem to find parts for this model on the Internet. Maybe it's too old. Any suggestions on trouble shooting?

I am converting a stand-alone garage into a cosy motorcycle workshop. One of the first things that I want to do is to insulate the walls (wooden studs, insulation, then board). But before that there is some damp. Firstly it is on one wall. The wall runs alongside a public park wall, and there is a one inch gap between them. The park wall has a pitched top which routes water into the one-...
