Madhan - thank you for answering so fast. I followed your original directions to seek out the "eventlog entries and post the details of the eventlog entry from MSDPM around the time this happened." I went into the event logs and looked for anything pertaining to MSDPM. Am I searchin in the wrong place or did I just pull up the wrong MSDPM error? Meanwhile i will keep on searching through the MSDPM errors to see if...

Alex, Yes I have both nodes added and I have rollup 4 installed on both nodes. Also the CCR status is healthy (Get-StorageGroupCopyStatus says Healthy) In DPM , Protection, When I try to create the protection group. I can see my cluster name and Exchange Virtual server name. when I expand the + sign on the exchange server name , I get nothing. If I expand the individual nodes , I get All shares and All Volumes. Thanks, Malkoo...

DPM 2007 x64 & SQL Server in...
Published (2008-11-17 12:43:00)
When I installed DPM 2007 x64 server on a Windows 2008 Datacenter server I was unable to point it to a SQL server 2008 x64 installed on a remote machine. Therefore, I was forced to install SQL server 2005 on the local machine. Can I now have the DPM sever point to and use SQL server 2008 x64 on a remote machine? If so how do I accomplish this? Thanks

Can someone shed some light on how SAN Based Recovery works? I've read the whitepaper by HP http://h71028.www7.hp.com/ERC/downloads/4AA1-6235E NW.pdf .
