I am tying to edit my envelope address list. On my mail merge recipients list the edit button is disable. It has worked before

I need to do a mailmerge using a sub-contacts list but when I go through the merge process, the sub-contacts is not listed.

I am trying to do a mail merge to create envelopes and everytime I select the excel spreadsheet to use it changes the format of the zip code to 4 digits instead of 5. How do I keep this from happening so the zip code remains 5 digits? Help!!!

I am trying to create a mail merge of labels but everytime I try to use an existing excel document to set up my labels it won't read. It says the encoding is not readable. I've tried to upload other excel spreadsheets and it also doesn't work. Any help?
