Published (2009-12-19 22:12:00)
Hi Folks; I have WMP 11 installed and I have a ton of AVI's, DVR-MS & WMV files. At present, Media Player puts all the AVI's in the All Video folder and the DVR-MS & WMV's in the Recorded TV folder. What I'd like is to get the AVI's to automatically be put in the Recorded TV folder along with the WMV's & DVR-MS's. Is there any way to cause AVI's to be associated with...

Do you mean that the tracks of one album are scattered over multiple albums? To fix this, you need to give all these tracks the same value for Album Title and Album Artist. Regards

You won't lose any playlists or auto playlists, these are stored as separate files, which WMP usually finds again when it scans all monitored folders to refill the library. The Genre and Subgenre fields are stored as tags in the actual music files, so these will be restored. See http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/WMP/Backup.. ..

What version of WMP? If it's WMP 11, the current position and total length should be visible in the lower left hand corner. If it only shows the current position or the remaining time, click the time display until you see 2 time values. Regards
