  Hello Mr Weber When we lose shares, I'm talking about going to the run line and typing \\servername\sharename\ and not getting a reply at all. A ping indicates the server is up. When I am in front of the servers, Ill see one of three things, ranked by most often to infrequent. Mostly, Ill see the Background of the server, with no icons and no toolbar. A cold boot is the only remedy here. Or... Occasionally, Ill see the desktop...

  I have a multisite network with 9 domain controllers. At my primary site, I have 2 Windows 2003 domain controllers and a mix of 2003 and 2008 (first release) servers with, XP and Vista clients. One of my 2008 servers has been having problems for a little while now. It is a Xen Virtual machine (like the rest of my 2008 servers) and I have problems with clients connecting to it via windows shares. It does not have any problems...
