Dave, Thank you for the info, seems to be ok today, and after some further reading, I will keep my hands off of the alias, I think I understand what that is now. I guess the "internal" mail still uses that alias, but by filling in all of the info for the user properly, the external mail, when I start using it, should have the correct email address in the from field. More local storage or a SAN. You need block level support. NAS doesn't provide that. Sounds like you're setting up a helpdesk. I'd create the AD account with the email address you listed and then add that account as a second account in Outlook for each tech. You can then create 'workflow' folders (Assigned, Completed, On Hold, etc.). We did this intially but then got too busy and email wasn't a good solution as issues were far too difficult to track. We eventually installed Kayako...

When you created the second address in AD, did you make it primary? When you look on the Addresses tab, the primary address shows in bold. The primary address should be the "From" address. (You just select the address and click the "Set as primary" button). "M. Murphy" <MMurphy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message...

Hi! I have a server running Exchange Server 2003 SP2 (also acting as a DC for the domain). I have just finished upgrading this server from Exchange Server 2003 Standard Edition to Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. The upgrade went fine and I was able to mount the Mailbox Store and the Public Folders Store without ...

I would like to send out a form email to the users but only starting off on a one-on-one basis until I get my wording down. I'm sure many of you ...
