Restore node in...

Hello all I am running exchange 2007 sp1 rollup 5 in a CCR cluster. In the event one of the nodes takes a nose dive, then what are the steps to reinstall the clustered mailbox role on a new hardware? Is the procedure much different if for example the hardware is fine but I need to recover one of the nodes due to corruption in the OS or application? Many thanks

Hi all; I am currently having this issue in my exchange 2007 sp1 mailbox servers. The servers are configured as a cluster with CCR. I go to event viewer and find the following event: Event Type: Warning Source: Clussvc Category: Membership Mgr Event: 4523 Description: Majority Node Set has failed a status check for the file share '\\192.168.1.26\MN_FSQ_MAILSTRECCR.' The error code was '53'. Please ensure that...

Update-StorageGroupCopy does a seed of the passive node. This is typically done when your passive node becomes diverged. Diverged is when the the Active Node goes down, the new node comes up. On the old Active Node, there may have been some log files that were in memory that didn't yet have a chance to get written into the database but did get copied over to the passive. So when the passive comes up, it plays those log files,...

I believe all you need to do is name the replacement server with the same name as the previous, configure the storage and networks, and run setup.com /RecoverServer. Then you'd resume the storage group copy, the steps of which would vary depending on what the state of the storage is after the failure. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." .....

We have two offices connected by a high-speed link (100meg). We have clustered Exchange 2007 mailbox servers (ccr) in each site (seperate AD sites) for local survivability. The local clustering works well, but it doesn't address a site outage. We reviewed SCR, but it's not as seamless as CCR. We have also heard that it is ...
