Are you set to use forms-based authentication? Are you authenticating through an ISA server? I'm not sure that will work if ISA is doing the forms-based authentication.

I got the mailboxes up. The procedure is actually pretty straightforward but not well documented. I know this isn't the preferred way of doing things, but when confronted with an SBS box that's gone radioactive on you (again) and whose backups you can't trust, and that suddenly can't run just about anything in normal mode because something is running away with all the server resources, you do what you can with...

There is only a default policy which hasn't changed in over 4 years (ie. it predates the other functioning subdomains). When I look at the E-mail address policy, it lists %m@domain.com %m@domain.local %r--%g.%r"%s@domain.com as well as the X400 string. Another subdomain is ict.domain.com where I also have an e-mail address. It works just fine... "Ed Crowley [MVP]" wrote: > Do you have a...

I would try to figure out what is wrong with the messages. This is likely a
problem on the sender's end.

All of you must grant him rights and he can add them to his Outlook Bar.
You can use a mail-enabled security (not distribution) group, but for the
opposite of what you're requesting, i.e., to grant rights for access to a
folder to everyone on the list.

It would be hard for any of us to make a diagnosis without knowing exactly
what you set up. You can use the relevant Get- PowerShell commands and post
the results here if you want.

You don't need a separate connector for each domain, you just need to list
each domain under address space for your one TLS connector. Also make sure
the cost for those listed domains is lower than the cost of your default
connector.

On the connector, on the addess space tab you neeed to set the option to
"allow messages to be relayed to these domains". This will place the
domain address space in the accept list and allow it to accept for that
domain--by default we only accept mail for the local doman without
configuring other domains we can accept.

Dear Frank
Yes en No
Yes: If you want to use SSL for SMTP. Sometimes partners will ask for SMTP
over SSL
No: If you like to be unsecure and don't want to use SSL.
