A friend of mine just went to a competition and won but said he lost to much mass off quads as a result from running. Now i suggested cycling for cardio, using high gears so resistance is still high. This i believe will stimulate the muscle to stay large, as with running its long haul low resistance compares to cycling. Worth a try i reckon

sounds like a reactive airway. It's not uncommon for the cold to cause what you've described. Sure seeing a doc to make sure the asthma hasn't worsened is a good idea. Bodyshop's suggestion is a good one too.

I run and lift and I have not seen any loss of size or strength! I do have to say I'm build like a tank though. LOL (I guess I'm just lucky) As my friend Delilah says "Yay Me!"

I would suggest seeing your doctor to be sure your asthma isn't worsening. You mention it getting worse in the cold; cold air is a trigger for asthma. You can try wearing a scarf over your nose and mouth to help warm the air as you breath in.
