They have a good reputation. Maybe they'll send you the req'd replacement parts cheap (read: free). If not, I say, put them on your Enemies List. You do have an enemies list, don't you? Don't tell me I'm the only one here with one.

I went the opposite direction, I put swept back Nitto Northstar's on my 29'er. Lots of leverage for climbing, and some nice vibration damping as well. Puts you in a good position to haul ass too...if that's your bag.

as has been pointed out so well already - the axle can easily be replaced. In fact, I may actually have one I can mail your way. Let me dig around a bit. I know I have one or two spare axles laying around.

I bought a used paul hub a few months back. It's been working great. I went to change a tire today, and out with the axel screw came a bunch of threads from the inside of the hub. (this wheel rests in the drop outs with screws that bolt into the hub itself...) My question is this: Can I replace the threads inside the rear wheel? Or is this wheel phuked?

I was riding with some friends this weekend and we got to talking about gear ratios. One guy mentioned that a 29er with a 32-19 is equivalent to a 26er 32-16. This didn't sound right, but he mentioned that it might be based on "perceived exertion". Anybody ever hear of this before? The guy who brought it up was both a really good rider and seemed to know his stuff pretty well, so I'm inclined to ...

I've been looking for a 29er single speed with front suspension and have had no luck. I've looked at several bike shops here in New Mexico as well as on line. Does anyone know if such a creature exists, who makes it? And if not, why not? Thanks.

He SS'ers. Would you say that most of your rides are in or out of the saddle? Do you stand or sit more? Do you stand seldomly and only out of need, or do you stand much of the time just cause you want to? I'm a stander.

I have been riding SS for years now. I have been invited for a several days trip which pretty much I am going to switch to gears!!! It is sad but it will be a very nice ride anyway. My question is the following: Will Single Speed will make me a better rider when using a bike with gears? Should I start training with gears? I don't like gears at all but it is either gears or no travel...

ENO hub users...what kind of tool(s) do you carry deal with the ENO? Right now I am using a CoolTool. It has the appropriate sized allen key for the bolts, and the adjustable wrench is perfect for adjusting the cam. Makes dealing with rear flats a snap.

It's a pretty easy conversion to do and will not cost too much. I did this to my hard tail. I installed a Kona fork and run a fat 700c cyclocross tire. I can't tell you that I notice a difference that I attribute solely to the large front wheel, but the bike still rides fine. I ride this one the most of all my bikes.
