with the channel version it has the .dol embedded in the channel so it may be and older .dol which didnt alow you to do custom paths to hdd . you could inject a newer .dol into the .wad file and load this to your wii

No probs guys got it from the original post, but cannot play back-ups, also done this on a 3.4 Wii updated to 4.1 with the installer and the Homebrew channel is now upside down? Burnt a back-up disk off, put it into the Wii, recognized but then when its clicked on to play the screen freezes and has to be switched off via the mains?

if your wii is on 4.2e like mine you need to delete all the previous homebrew and wad manager's then get the 4.2 hack and run that after the 3rd stage you can add the gx wad to the wads folder on the sd and install it edogg

Try running wad manager through HBC, rather then installing it as a .wad. Unless you mean you can't install wads in wad manager. Either way, you should probably look to updating your cios's. I hope you have bootmii installed and a backup.

Depends on what chipset is in the Wii, if its the newer D3 -2 chipset it cant be Chipped coz it cant read DVD -Rs you can only softmod and use USB loaders
