Re charging for communal TV provision - I guess it depends on your viewpoint....though I'd be surprised if the rental agreement didn't spell it out. While pretty well everyone expects water/power to be supplied, those who don't want to use Sky would probably object to subsidising (as they saw it) those who do. More enlightened countries have for years required that large blocks of flats have communal systems built in as part of...

If you are not running low on money and it has not caused a problem, leave it and it will appear on your account as a credit, meaning you should not have to pay anything next month.
You can change the day of the month that Sky take the money, if paid by Direct Debit, on the Sky website.

Your account will likely be credited with £5 almost within a couple of days, if not a few hours. My ESPN £5 was there within the week when I took that back in August. I think that once ordered, you cannot cancel the movies for at least 30 days.

No disrespect but if money's that tight it might be better to muddle through with just the free channels or a basic one or two mix subscription for a while.
IMHO, £76/month is a ridiculous amount of money for TV.

In case the power did not come back on cleanly, try unplugging and re powering the box again. Try also removing and re inserting the viewing card.

Assuming it goes ahead the cards will be posted out over a few weeks. Theres nothing expats can do to jog the system - the cards will appear eventually.

I think the fact that your account has been closed as you yourself said the final payment was processed is the issue.
Is there an option to pay by ...
