Inside the cavity I always put half a lemon, salt & pepper, a few cloves of garlic and a sprig of Thyme and Rosemary. It certainly improves, not only the flavour of the meat but the pan juices for making the gravy.

If anything is missing off a fry-up in a greasy spoon, you can bet it'll be the black pudding. Shame really as that would top it off wonderfully. Drop the tomato, add the pudding and you're good to go.
There's a few places round here that offer a fried slice - basically choice of toast or a slice. Have to say I go for toast, as I can then cheekily ask for a blob of marmalade....

I make sure my veg portion is bigger than carbs or protein at every meal. I also eat them first, so if I get full-up it'll be on veggies, leaving the more calorific foods behind on the plate.
Don't deprive yourself of anything, it'll make you want it all the more and you'll be likely to crack and eat loads of it! Things like cake and chocolate and sweets can be eaten, just...
