Bit stupid the BBC will just be two in the hundreds of channels that broadcast. It needs additional channels to keep its audience share. Although perhaps when Every BBC channel is HD there will not be a need for BBC HD.

I'm beginning to wonder whether its because when Sky and La Liga were stalling on the rights, Sky's compromise was that they'd pay only what they did last season for half the games, literally... Still, there really should be Sky Sports 4 / Xtra 2 and another Sports HD channel.
