I uploaded it to Winkflash and got it in a 4x6 Glossy photo and got envelopes from a local print shop here. the photos cost 4 Cents each. It was a sale at the time. I did add the buttons and bow and our signature. http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com...p?photo=344351

Help with pse 7

Well here it is...my first attempt at it. Thanx for the help! It was fun playing around with it. I'll have to do some more experimenting because I don't really understand what any of the different layer modes are doing lol.

I just had mine printed with Winkflash.com .23 cents each and that included the envelope! + about $8.00 to ship. I did matte and they turned out out well. Quality is good and turnaround was quick.

Superimpose person in the picture
Published (2009-12-09 13:06:00)
Are you talking about extracting the person and putting them into a scene? It can be tricky to get it to look right. Not only do you need to get a good extraction but you also need to get the light and colours to look similar in the new scene. I haven't used PSP - hopefully someone will give you some pointers. If you are having trouble with extractions, you could try [ur=http://www.topazlabs.com/remask/specifications.php]Topaz...

Superimpose person in the picture

I have tried this, not to be very successful. I use PSP8 how do you do this. There are so many neat layouts with just a person in the scene, not the complet picture of the person.

It could be that the two images are different resolutions. Go to Image/Image size for each one - that should tell you.

I don't use PSP, but I can tell you the generally idea is to blend the two photos together. You need to erase/mask parts of the photo with the person in it, and have the person scaled appropriately so that it "fits" into the other photo. As you erase/mask, try different sized brushes with different hardness and opacity to get the right look. Sometimes it is a crisp outline, sometimes you need a ...

Oh I remember when I first tried to use a template. I almost gave up on digital scrapbooking entirely because I couldn't figure out how to make it work.
Here are the links for some tutorials that might help you get going. Just click on the programme you are using for it.

Out the photo on a layer above the background paper layer, and then you can adjust blend modes and opacity of the photo until you see something you like.
Blend modes and opacity can be found in the layers box, at the top of it. The blend mode box is a drop down that usually says "Normal" on it. Click that, then use your keyboards arrow keys to just cycle through the modes. Opacity is a slider ...

My biggest pointer would be decide on the size of the card and where you will print it first. As you mention you can do a 5x7 card, but you will most likely have to find envelopes to go with them (not difficult, but certainly part of the equation).
Costco does 6" x 7 1/2" for $14.50 for a set of 50, $5 each additional 25, envelopes included. Other places do a 4" x 8" card with envelopes ...

Hi, Jeannie, welcome to DSP ... so glad you have found us! It is a great place to be inspired and make some friends too!
ACDSee Photo Manager is mostly an organizational software that will help you to more easily find your digital supplies and photos. They do have a program called Photo Editor which some people do use for scrapping.
Personally, I would suggest Photoshop Elements (latest ...

You copied and pasted the element into the file with the background as a new layer? Or did you paste as a new selection?
Make sure you have the element layer selected in the layers pallette and then hit D. That should put the " bounding box" with the handles on the element.

In PSE, you can either hold the shift key down OR check the box for Constrain Proportions once you are in transform mode. If you do both - gave the box checked and hold down the shift key, then your image can go any which way.

No you dont need a magic wand - what you do is place your photo in the layer over the mask layer in the layer stack - now press the ALT key and hover your mouse right on the line between the 2 layers in the layer panel. YOu will see the cursor change to somethign that looks like 2 interlinking circles - Click now and your photo layer will be grouped with that mask layer below - you can then ...
