I am shooting with an XTI and am looking at my first large glass purchase. What I really want is the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM, but the price tag is hurting me a bit. I know I would love this lens, but I am just curious if you guys know of anything that is somewhat comparable at a lower price Thanks. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/drewdawson/

I am in a quandry. I currently own a Canon40D. I have a 75-300 Canon III telephoto lens. I like to shoot primarily wildlife and landscape. I am not happy with the range on this lens. I am considering a Sigma 50-500 f4-6.3 DG HSM EX APO RF. Do I assume that the effective range is 75-750? I know this is a big lens. I already own a good tripod with a ballhead that will hold up to 35 pounds....

What do you guys think about Dolica vs. Quantaray filters? I want to get a Circular Polarizer and a Neutral Density filter while on vacation and the closest thing is a Ritz camera. I know that Quantaray is the Ritz Camera brand, but how does it stack up to this Dolica brand? _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/drewdawson/

Hello, I recently bought a Canon 35mm F2.0 prime lens. I am quite happy with some photos taken at home (low light) and outside in daytime. But recently, shooting outside at night, I found the lens to be somehow blurry: it seems I cannot get in focus when objects are reflecting light. It is not a huge effect (you must go to 100% magnification to see it) but I anyway expected that ...

I was just in Fairfield, NJ Thursday and Friday last week. I will be in that part of Jersey regularly with my new role so I will have to check this place out. I am trying to stay away from camera shops at this time because I need to pass my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt class/certifaction this spring and will be stepping away from the shooting for a bit. My new line of work is not ...

Hey people, Friend asked to shoot a really basic wedding and it will be my first. I am doing research and thought I should get a basic flash bracket which will be mainly used for wedding only and I'll keep on hand for other shoots (Need the rotating one of coarse). Anyhow I was looking for something good but cheap. Don't feel like spending a whole lot as it will be used very ...
