I like the processing and the diagonals in the first one. I like this better than Goldilocks. Chris

I like the new processing - I'm a fan of grainy diffusion in general, and especially for a shot like this. How does it look in BW? Satin pointe shoes often lend themselves to bw and for some reason.....

I'm going to say #3. The first 2 say skateboard more then shoes. But the third is pretty much like an ad for skater shoes. Which I think hits the theme well.

Thanks for the comments! Here are a few more photographs. Here are two more taken on my iphone: #2 #3 (I think I need to remove the border for the contest) #4 and one more which might not illustrate the theme of a shoe in a strong enough way: Which photo has the most promise? Thanks! Scotty

The overall composition is excellent. I'm not sure if that diagonal line is more distracting or adds something to the image. It is certainly where my attention is drawn. Love the processing on this!

I like the idea, but it's a bit soft for my own tastes. I'd like to see a different surface. Perhaps a wood floor to add some textural contrast. Chris

The point of the comment about just including your three pictures was so you don't have to go through PS or other tool and merge the three into one .jpg image. Just include the three shots in sequence. The sequence can be a short span: 1. Ready to swing 2. Making Contact 3. Running towards first or something of a longer period: 1. Getting the bridal dress on 2. Exchanging vows...

Welcome to dgrin! I enjoyed looking at this image and it's unusual crop ratio, which, as you pointed out really emphasises the size of the shadow. I think you have an excellent submission. Make sure when you do submit you read the rules. . Disqualifications suck.

I like Awaiting Ice climbing season. The vents in the freezer are distracting. I wonder if you could work with a cooler or a pile of ice in the garden. Great idea and crisply composed. Chris

Hi Chris, Clever concept. My favorite is the first one as it conjures up safety and protection. It might be nice to put the heels together and perk up the laces even more. I think you have taken steps in the right direction (pun intended!) Scotty

Decided against the fancy black shoes. Found my wife had some shoes that, to me, at least, give off a Molly Ringwold/Pretty-in-Pink vibe. Your thoughts? "The First Date"
